I am applying for a internal job posting at work. I'm not very good at answering several questions. 1. I have to elaborate on my strongest personal attributes as an employee. 2. My strongest job proficiencies. 3. I have to explain what measures I have taken to overcome and improve my job related deficiencies. I have not a clue as what to say. Please help me out! The job I am applying for is a collector at a bank.

1 & 2 somewhat go hand in hand. Talk about yourself a bit..team player, trustworthy, prompt...detail oriented..problem solver..etc (if they apply to you)

3. Explain how you overcame weak areas

I am sorry to say that sweety but if you don't know what are your strongest work abilities then maybe you are not qualified for this job. Plus a collector will have to be able to communicate and convince people to pay, if you can't find the words to apply for the job how will you do those job duties at all?

to start, it might help for a fun little story with the interviewer to mention u had to find help because u were worried about preparedness but make sure the story is a positive twist...

and then begin with lists...
what are your current skills, what do u do now at the bank, why are you more qualified than others for the posting...

i kno u dont like to answer questions but this is an interview. its a question based conversation. u will have to answer some questions.. including the dumbass question- "tell me about urself..."

but u can do this. if questions dont help, make a web or graphic organizer to help u get ur ideas out in front of u to see them. in order to get the job, u have to be the best person the interviewer has seen...
