I will have my AAS in Accounting next may and would like to move to Charlotte, NC to complete my 4-year degree. Being a single mom, I will need to work and have a place to stay before I actually start school. I live 4 hours away from Charlotte, but will need to have a job secured before I actually can move into an apartment there. What is the best way to go about job hunting and interviewing long distance?

I've been working in Hotels for several years now, and that's what my degree is in. I'm curious to know where else I could work with the talents, training, and experience I've amassed. OUTSIDE of the Hospitality Field.

I was interviewed by a corp employer but they only hiring at about 2/3 less then what I am making now. My husband is torn & says don't take the job but it sounds like a great job with room for advancement. The gas & commute is killing me with 3 children at home I spent 2.5 hours a day on the road. I live in a rural area & this company is the largest employer. Any advice ? I have been working at my current employer for 13 years. stressed out...

I've only been working there a month, but I'm utterly miserable, hate my managers, and have found a better job. I hate it so much that I just want to quit now instead of giving two weeks notice. How do I go about quitting? Do I give them a letter or just tell them I'm leaving? Will they really require me to work two more weeks or is it usual in fast food for them to just let you go immediately? The thought of having to work there any more makes me sick!

She even said yesterday that she watched the movie " The Devil Wears Prada" and commented that once you get to a position so high up, you really HAVE to act like that. Those who heard her were appalled. Co-workers and other dept. directors hear how she talks to me all the time and are appalled. I am new at the job, and want to keep my job, but need a tactful way to deal with her.

I read that workers and bosses rather have someone that they can get along easily knowing that person does not know how to do the work, then having to work with someone who is smarter than they are, but does not get along well.

I have been trying to enter into the nonprofit area but with no avail. I have work experience to back-up my education. I am more than willing to start at the bottom but I think that my degree puts a lot of people off. Any advice?
