they can not discriminate about that, but they will usually not give you a job based on other reasons, it's gonna be hard so good luck! but you may want to call local temp agencies if you are planning to take time off after you have the baby

Most states do not have set laws in regards to hiring pregnant women.
However if you volunteer this information, many employers will not hire you for fear that if you have a miscarrige at work or due to the strains of work, they can be sued.
I suggest not volunteering the fact that you are pregnant to a potential employer.
Once you do find employment, wait until after the first trimester is over, your chances of miscarrige are significantly lower, and by then you will already be working and if you prove yourself a top notch employee, your employer won't want to get rid of you.
Best of luck to you!

It isn't all that easy if you are far along in your pregnancy because most employers are looking for a candidate that will not be leaving any time soon. So, I will keep my fingers crossed in hopes that you get a job. I know that some states have laws that prevent employers from discriminating against pregnant woman...I also know that there are national laws that prevent employers from discriminating against pregnant woman. However, it is very hard to prove that the reason they discriminated against a pregnant woman was their pregnancy.

Are you sure you are going to want to work after the baby arrives? You may be able to stay at home and make money too if you have established a job working at home on the internet. Try looking at these.

You may not make much money the first few months, but if you keep working at it, you should have a steady income by the time you are a mother.

You could do some payed surveys to make ends meet now, and join TOPS to generate a larger income later.

no laws but many problems.

if you are hired and go on their benefits they have to pay the hospital bills, pay for leave etc, etc, etc. It is almost always a bad practice to hire a pregnant woman

The problem is you will only be able to work temporarily. If you do have complications during your pregnancy then there is more time off you'll need, basically becoming unreliable.
