What do you need to make money for?? Ask your parents for allowance. You can't legally work until you're 14, so other than that you can only mow lawns and rake leaves and stuff. Which is a lot more work than it might seem, especially when it's 90º out. Just ask you're parents if they're willing to pay you a couple dollars to wash the dishes or vaccuum the rugs. It's much easier. And it will also make you look more responsible and mature so they'll treat you more like an adult and less like a child.

Enjoy being a kid while you can!!! When you're in college working 4 and 5 jobs, you'll WISH that you could just sit back and have fun again without having to worry about how you're going to get money together!!!

I had a lemonade stand at your age and I made enough money to buy my own school clothes and pay for a full day admission, rides, games & food at the State Fair, every year when I was in grade school!

My youngest daughter just turned eight -- her very first day of running her own lemonade stand, this year, she made fifty bucks -- she charged just 25 cents per cup and we live in a quiet neighborhood with not a lot of traffic, but a lot of people tipped her because they thought it was great that a kid her age wanted to earn her own money and they were impressed with how professional she was about it -- always a smile, always "please," "thank you," "ma'am" & "sir."

I had LOTS of different money making projects when I was a kid. Another that I was doing at your age was to clean the toys I'd outgrown, price them and put them in my Mom's yearly garage sale. One of my teenagers and my youngest daughter asked my permisson to have their own garage sale, one day last week. They didn't have many customers because they chose a Friday instead of a Saturday, but they still made about twenty bucks each and they have a little more space in their rooms for the stuff they do use. They're planning to hold another sale at the end of the summer, when they both have a Saturday free.

Whatever you do, be sure you have your parents' permission and that there's an adult nearby just in case some weirdo or an older kid comes along and tries to give you trouble. If you're saving up for something specific, like a new bike or cool school clothes or spending money for a vacation, don't be afraid to mention that to your customers. Adults are very impressed with kids who are willing and eager to work to earn money to get things they want!!

Best of luck!

Ask your parents. What could an 8 year old possibly want money for?

Build a lemonade stand, do some extra chores, or help out around the house. That's what I do to earn some extra money.

Mow peoples yards, walk dogs, pet sitting, do chores around the house, suggest your parents give you a weekly allowance (money) for working around the house and helping out. Water the plants outside for your parents etc etc.....

no, you must be 16. Unless you want to open a lemonade stand or weed for your neigbors. You don't even belong on the internet. Now go play in the sandbox kiddo.

Go to college and get a degree. Fast money is dirty money and it will only get you to the wrong place in life. You don 't want that...just go to school and work hard.

At your age you should not be worrying about how you are going to make money. Ask your mom or dad for it.
