With great honesty...period. You must have qualms about your past experience. I have no idea what they are, but .... you can either do the job or you can't . Why would you want a job you have to lie to get? If you do, you will always be looking over your shoulder for the ax to fall. This is not a good way to live. Good luck

First of all, it is not fair to give bad image of the company where you were working or your are working. When you are looking for a better paid job, it is clear that the employer does not have any reason/s to stop you for trying for alternate job. You have learnt so much from him during the tenure of your working. You should respect him. Morever, if you mention anything adverse information about the previous/present employer, the interviewer will definitely reject your candidature. If you are particular about getting a better paid job, be sincere to your ex-boss.

Be truthful. Why did your salary vary so much? Was part of that because you were in training? Be prepared to explain if you are asked.

Most employers will understand things like that and any time you are interviewed it is always best to be truthful as you explain your employment history.

As a general rule, you should not disclose your prior salary history to any prospective employer.

When asked directly about your salary history, or how much salary do you want, it is acceptable to say things along the line of "I expect that you will make a suitable offer based on the market pay for someone with my skills and experience."

You should have already done your research prior to the interview so that you know what the expected rate and benefit package is for the industry.

He who speaks first about salary usually "loses".

Good luck to you.

You don't. If you changed industries, it's a given that jobs pay differently depending on what industry you work in. Don't worry about it! They should be more interested in what you can bring to their company besides an inconsistent salary history!!
