Sounds like you are having a tough time. The acceptable procedure is to hand in your resignation letter to your direct supervisor/ boss. Need to serve the required notice period stated in your contract. If this is a temporary job, you need to give 1 day notice. Good luck and take it easy.

Type a letter of resignation (there are many examples on the net), walk into your bosses office and say, "I've decided to leave the company and pursue other interests.", then hand him/her the letter.

Simply write a resignation letter that thanks them for the opportunity, but you regret to inform them that [DATE] is your last day with the company. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and it shouldn't be anything mean, you don't want to burn your bridges because you may need them for a reference

you write you resignation on paper. you do not owe any explanations...all you have to say is that its "time for you to move on." or "id rather keep my reasons to myself, but its been a pleasure working here."

why are you worried about what they think? its YOUR career, its YOUR decision. either sh!t or get off the pot...(so to speak).
are you worried about hurting someones feelings, or you just don't want the "Oh my god! WHY are you leaving?" questions.
simply say, "Its personal, but thanks for caring."

You just have to do it! Just write out a nice letter saying why you are leaving and when that is all you have to do.
