At my job interview a few days ago, when asked what I would like to do to improve myself, I mistakenly answered I wanted to improve my computer skills to the advanced level. I reiterated that my Microsoft Office Suite skills were intermediate but that I felt there was always room for improvement especially if it would help to get the job done more efficiently and quicker. The interviewer questioned specific applications and in my nervous state I let it be know that my powerpoint knowledge was basic at best but that I was practicing on tutorials to bring me up to par. They seemed unconcerned and said it was very easy to learn and the rest of the interview went well. Afterwards, I heard thru the agency I used that they really liked me but were concerned that my powerpoint skills were lacking. They want to see more people - I was the first person to be interviewed. Did I blow my chance for this job?

I think I am going to lose my job to someone who just started and is spending a lot of time in my boss's office with the door closed. She always comes out grinning with her hair slighly mussed up. What should I do?

If there are any models on this website, please tell me what agent do you work with when he or she hire models?
Because I would like to know because I want to start modeling. I know that modeling industry want tall models because of the designers clothes but I know for a damn fact that short people can model. Its stupid that they want tall models, there are things that short people can do, you dont nned a tall model to pose for beauty, or body-part shots, nude. Short people can do some things that tall people do

b/f John has been approached to join MI5 which seems to me a poor offer because he has a degree and I think he should go straight into MI6.

The company will produce the stabs etc and then sell them to the public who want them..

I'm unsure on the name for the company though

I am looking for a real work from home job, not google adsense, or all others jobs that require you to pay them, I am looking for a real work. Do anyone currently work from home, or have tried something before. Please let me know.

i received a letter today from a work at home job company called "new start" saying that there is an opening for a job regarding sending letters. they said i would get paid 8.75 for each letter they receive and if i didnt like it, that they would give me back twice the amount that i paid to receive the start up kit. also that i would get a $500 gift certificate if i sent the application in 6 days. they even have a limited amount of openings available. i need to know if this a scam or if this is the opportunity ive been waiting for all my life. i need your opinions on the subject and please be honest. i have been scammed so much that im just loosing it. i have almost given up on ever finding a real work at home job. plz let me know what you think. i appreciate it alot thank you.

Here is a link that reports the history of Congressional salaries.

Did you know they started at $6 per diem (per day)
Vice President - $192,600 ; Speaker of the House - $192,600 ; Majority & Minority Leaders of the Senate & House - $166,700 ; Senators & Representatives - $150,000 ; Cabinet members (Executive Schedule, Level 1) - $166,700; House passes minimum wage hike, estate tax cut
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- By a vote of 230-180, the House gave the go-ahead early Saturday to legislation that gradually boosts the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour, phased over three years.

The measure also included a cut in the federal inheritance tax mostly paid by the wealthy.

Republican leaders made the minimum wage increase more palatable to their ranks by attaching it to a package of tax cuts they've been pushing, including a major reduction in the estate tax. (Posted 2:30 a.m.)

I am waiting for a response from the Ford Corporation as to whether or not I am invited to the leadership conference and from their the actual interviews are done. Their general practice is that if you do not hear from them than you are not invited but they also would like for you to wait on a response for up to 2 weeks?

I really need money and I'm really good with kids so I've decided to go look into babysitting. None of my friends have jobs so I can't ask them for suggestions and I was wondering if anyone in the Berkeley/Piedmont area needed a babysitter. This would be my first time actually getting paid so I would be very flexible with the salary and my schedule is wide open. Also if anyone has any ideas for getting clients please help me and I would really appreciate it. Thanks! (sorry i didn't know how to catagorize the question)
