The best way is to be some type of engineer... electrical, aerodynamics, software, etc. I know people who work at both... they all are engineers with experience. You may need to get experience elsewhere before either of those two firms take a look at you unless you offer something very unique (for example, your designs have won awards).

Next, a degree in a field that they hire, like Engineering or Buinsess Management.
