And if so, do you know of any places that are hiring?

You see people working on computers in a nice air conditioned place. Sitting down almost all day and.....they get the good money!

You see somebody working his @ss off, working long hours of hard work and they get paid crap!
I'll give you one example: Fire Fighters

Fire fighters work there @sses off, save people and don't even get paid good.
Construction workers also don't get paid that good.

Basically any job that you get dirty and work hard, you won't get good money. In my opinion, that ain't fair. I feel sorry for those people who work hard and get paid crap!

I'm nearing 40 and have been having a mid-life crisis for about 15 years (so, mathematically, I should expire soon). I'd like a new career and am open to suggestions, just as long as you don't get mad when I don't follow your suggestion to drive the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile around the country.

Here's what I like to do: Chat with people one on one, help them work out problems, help people find answers to questions. I do not like to sit solo behind a desk all day, do not want to review contracts for a living or research minutae or write long, detailed memos repeatedly. Did I mention that I'm currently a lawyer?

I'm good with numbers but don't think well in three dimensions, so architect, engineer, etc. are out. For that matter, I'm not sure that I'd be able to put in enough time to have a hardcore science job anymore. Maybe next life. I don't mind some travel as long as it's not continuous, and I'm willing to go back to school.

So choose my career!
