Know a lot about the company. If you can say, "I've read about your expansion into the XX market, and it's really exciting. I'd love to be a part of that; here's my idea for a role I could fill."

Even if they won't use you in the project, you will have impressed the pants off them.

And dress professionally. If you don't know what to wear to an interview, a modest plain skirt or trousers, white shirt, black blazer will usually cover it. It doesn't matter if half the people in the office dress like golfers or hookers: they already have jobs.

Well, first of all there is no sure way to know you'll get the job until they tell you the job is yours. There are a few things you can do to impress them though. First yo have to dress professional, even if you are applying for McDonalds. Secondly when you first meet the interviewer you must make sure that you shake their hand even if they don't extend their hand first. After that you just need to be confident with your answers, try not to be too nervous and keep your answers short sweet and to the point. If you are qualified for the job and you do everything else I suggested than you will definitely be greatly considered for the position.
