In high school, I got a job as a hostess at restaurant/bar called Buns and Bones which was owned by a group that also owned Hooters. We shared a barge with Hooters on the Ohio River, which meant our clientele were a bunch of drunk river rats. We wore the "Cowgirl" equivalent of the Hooter's uniform. Short shorts and vests (no shirts underneath), cowboy hats and boots. We were also encouraged to add cap guns, whips and handcuffs. In the beginning I was so mortified I would spend all my time doing busy work in the back. The manager finally forced me to greet people by handcuffing me to the front door. During the time I worked there I witnessed things I am still in therapy for. I saw a man run his wave runner into the barge and drown. (I was also a lifeguard, so I had to help pull him out) I watched our grill cook take a steak branding iron and brand himself. And once I had a guy offer to buy my pantyhose for $50 (so I sold them to him) and then I saw him chewing on them....I haven't been able to look at pantyhose the same way since. Looking back that job was pretty bad, but it was never dull.

LOL! I was 18, I got a job in the KMart Deli and I worked with a bunch of old ladies, so naturally I did not fit in. I was just a stupid kid that knew nothing. LOL! Okay, so the boss told me that he felt that working in the deli wasn't working out and so he said that I could be there customer greeter. LMOA!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, that lasted a few days. Lot's of people were telling me that I was too intelligent to be standing around handing carts to be people and I told them that I had no choice because I needed the money

I quickly found another job and somehow, I just one day accidentally did not show up for work at KMart LOL!!!!!!

Working at a dry cleaners in the middle of summer in Florida, I only lasted a month and a half. I quit after I'd lost like 10 lbs ( I was already skinny), and passed out from heat exhaustion, I was only 22 yrs old at the time.

I worked for a small chemical company placing little pieces of paper that were 5 inch by 2 inch in a bag that was not much bigger, and then placing two business card like objects in each bag. Each hour I had to do 800 bags, and that was physically impossible. After a couple of months of that, my friend and I made a little system of me placing the paper in the bag, and him placing the cards in the bag. In an hour we could do 1700 bags. Now that was amazing.

Working at a diner for an @sshole of a boss. He wasn't nice to women. He even treated his wife like crap. He made me go into the men's restroom & clean up a HUGE puddle of pee on the floor. and off the wall. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I quit after that. There's no way I'm gonna do that sh!t and only get paid $2.50/hr. I told him to shove it up his @ss
