I have been contemplating in my mind about future jobs that I would be happy with for at least 20-30 years. So add your input about which job(s) that you think are the best or useful in our economy.

I have been seeking work in the it field for about 6 months now. I have changed my resume I don't know how many times to improve it and tailor it to the headhunters wants. I guess my question is how do I go about finding out what I am doing wrong? I'm not wanting to throw a bunch of money away on things that may not work.

Just looking for ideas. I know websights are offering services to help with things like this so don't send me links unless they are offering up their services for free. I need to find a solution that I can do at close to no cost.

I have an employee who last contacted us on Monday morning to say he would be late. He never showed up and we have not heard from him yet, despite phone messages left at his house Tuesday and today. I know we can assume he has abandoned his job and terminate his employment, but will our unemployment insurance reserve account be hit when he files an unemployment insurance claim?

Hello, I know you all don't know me from a fly on the wall but wanted some imput.

I recently got called to come into an interview for a finance company. I would be handling their IT support. They have no IT support department at this location and that is why they are hiring for the position.

Long story short I did the first interview 2 weeks ago. Went really really well, felt toally comfortable. Got a call back last week asking me to go in for a second interview. The second interview was with the president of the company and it seemed a lot less comfortable then the first.. I was just probably intimitated.. Regardless I felt it went well, I was able to explain my experience, and how it would apply. Now here is where it got wierd.. The lady who did the interview sent me to another women to discuss benefits, I said ok all looks fine.. Then they sent me to a third interview with an employee to ask about the company.. that went well also.. Now they said they would be getting back to me..

I feel like it's a myth that I hear about. Ever since I left my last job over 3 years ago (a job I liked a bit) I haven't been able to find a job that I even like . . . let alone love.

Am I just grasping at straws to think I could find a job that I would love?

The company I work with has certain physical requirements. We go up on ladders and we also crawl around attics and crawlspaces. Can we legally ask an applicant if they have health or physical restrictions which prohibit them from doing such things? For example, can we ask if they have a back, knee, eye problem or if they have any chronic illness which may prohibit them from doing such work?

I interviewed yesterday for a warehouse job and I couldn't believe the way the interview went. You would think i applied to be a secret service agent or something!! It was a really tough interview. I mean you could train chimps to do this kind of work. What the hell is up in this society You have to be squeeky clean to work in a warehouse ?? So I told him to shove the job up his ****. Its rediculous this American puritanism No its a joke is what it is.
