First thing you need to ask is what do you enjoy doing?

Check out the U.S. Department of Labor website & Occupational Outlook Handbook. They can tell you what jobs are growing, declining, and paying well. You should also take into account what your skills are. Because even though an accountant can make a lot of money, it would be silly to pursue an interest in something you have no talent in! Also take into account what you enjoy and see if its possible to incorporate that into your career. And most importantly, get a college education!

I don't know how old you are, and things are likely to change from now to when you enter the job market. You need to have a good idea of what you are interested in and see where that fits into the current employment trends.

Please take a look at the link I provided, it will show you what the current trends for the 21st century CURRENTLY are.

Good luck and happy planning.
