I have been babysitting for the same family for going on 3 years, the kids are practically partially my kids but i have to quit because my parents want me to start paying for my own stuff(car payment, insurance, cell phone etc.) its hard for me to let them go but i know i need to do it and would also like to try something new. i also want to still be able to see the kids occasionally and still be a little involved still in their lives even though i am not going to be with them every day. how should i tell the parents this?

This is for my "practice" interview tomorrow so it's better not to use any religious or political figures. I was thinking Oprah or someone else who has come from nothing and now has become someone and given alot back or I don't know. I'm drawing a blank. Any ideas would be great. If you give a name please give a little info on why you admire them. Thanks. :)

I am currently in the Construction Industry and want to change to Human Resources Field. I am getting my MBA with a concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Development, From Governors State University in University Park, IL. Lately all I have heard is because the school is not a Ivy League school no one will hire you. I am wondering is this true and if so what can I do? I will be completed in April 2007.

An employee at our store went onto Disability due to an injury while at work almost exactly 2 months ago. During that time, myself and one other person have been covering this person's position in terms of their responsibilities. As of right now, it is uncertain when this person will return or if they even will. Should I have been compensated monetarily for having to take on this added responsibility of this person, or is it the way things go, and I am SOL?? I just feel after 2 months of going through this, I should be entitled to what they would be making if they were there.

I have a full time staff person who currently I give a paid lunch hour. I added this cost up and its $2500 per year I am paying out for non work activity. I want to eliminate this, but want to be fair. I am willing to have her work 8:30-5:30 to avoid a lesser paycheck. I am curious as to what others receive as far as paid or unpaid lunches through their employers as well.
