The girl just lost enthusiasm and interest in work. She is more often than not late for couple oif minutes and treats it like she is doing me a favor for showing up on time. Requests to improve performance work for about a day or two, after that things go back to the way they used to...

You're stuck at work, still have a few hours left in the day with nothing left to do. After you're done thanking God that your job is so easy that you're in this situation, how do you entertain yourself?

And it's got to be on the down low, you don't want to get caught, or they may give you more work to do.

I am being considered with a job for a mid sized mortgage company here. Been through 4 interviews, the works. They asked for a background check.. Problem is about 5 years ago I wrote a few checks that bounced, took care of it and was never convicted of anything.. Although I was charged and I know for a fact it does show up on any report.. I explained the situation prior to handing the authorization in..

Am I screwed or do I still have a shot? It is for an IT job, so it's not like I am handling cash or anything.

I would like to know how many others out there feel the same...Why is min wage still the same after so many yrs? How can anyone LIVE on min wage? How can we afford utilities, groceries, gas, and other needed items on min wage. The prices on EVERYTHING are continually rising....meanwhile minimumwage stays the same.

I have discovered I am not a 'corporate' person by any means, in fact the environment to me is cold and depressing. Any suggestions on field(s) where you work with people? Good/bad jobs, or careers that you enjoy? I have a bachelors in Business right now, but even suggestions where I may have to go back to school would be helpful as well...searching for a more warm, meaningful environment to help people. Thanks!!

Do you think it's a good idea for me to pay a resume service to do my resume, I'm EleEng grad(no experience). One person I called he would just change my objective and soft skills summary, but I don't think he has any idea about technical skills. It would be just a one page resume. Thanks

I want an honest answer. Maybe from someone who gets resumes from potential candidates in HR. Are cover letters really that important to getting a call back from a potential employer?

I've sent at least 30 resumes and cover letters off in the past month with ZERO success. My problem is, is that they take WAY too long to write, and I just end up sounding like a kiss-a$$ by saying how great the company is, and how I would love to work there,...yada yada yada....

Monster has this thing where you can apply for jobs with one click, and I wanna do it, but I don't wanna keep changing the stupid cover letter around. I'm thinking about just not including one at all (which is an option). So my question is, honestly, do people in HR actually read cover letters? Or do they just go right to the resume and qualifications of the candidate?

Please help, I'm getting fed up job searching.

They sounds like a scam but I am a college grad who is already working two jobs and is looking for more supplemental income to move with here in two months. It def sounds like a desperate ploy from these so called companies, but at the same time I want to know if it is true that you can make X amount of $$ each month by stuffing envelopes... Has anyone ever tried it? Did it work, was/is it a scam? I am curious and in need of an extra buck, so I am willing to try anything!
