one of my employees did something really dumb, and it could affect other employees. After telling her why it wasn't the right thing to do, she wanted to discuss it further. I told her that I was in no frame of mind to discuss it, that I was very angry and very disappointed, and that I needed time for those feelings to pass to discuss it rationally. She has now asked for a meeting with HR, and I am sure it is to discuss this. Thoughts?

Ok, so it is Friday I figured this would be interesting to see what peeves people off at work..Mine is when people stand in the middle of the doorway or hallway and have full blown conversations. Especially, when they have huge offices! Have a great weekend.

On my letters I clearly state that my correct title is 'Miss'. I really makes by angry/pissed off/annoyed when they address me as 'Ms'. Which for the recorded I have always deeply offensive. When I don't know if the woman I am writing to is married or not, I always call her 'Miss'.

A democratic type that almost gave his subordinates so much freedom that sometimes jeopardize company rules and regulations. Or, an aristocratic one but all comes in order no chance for undesirable employee to enjoy his life..=)

I'm 14 years old & am going to be a freshman this year. I am interested in starting a job to just get the ball rolling. I am a certified baby-sitter, but don't really know how to advertise that. I was thinking of maybe a job at like Starbucks or something. Earning some extra cash would be nice to help go towards a car when I turn 16. So is there a way I can get an occupation permit at the age of 14? Thanks.

There's this girl I work with. She's 18 and I'm a little older. Well the promble is she won't work. All she like to do is talk on her cell phone all night while we're at work. Then when it get close for the boss man th come in, she'll ask the men who mop the floors on the other side to come on our side and help her out. I don't think that's fair. I have to do my work, why can't she do hers. I went to the boss man to talk to him. At first he would turn his head. I had to set him straight. At first thing was getting better. Now it back to the way it was. What piss me off is after talking on the cell phone all night, when the boss come in, she runs in the office and lay her head on the desk like she been working all night. What do you think I should do. Please tell me.
