I work for an ad agency that's run by a pair(yeah, they r married) of goons. The agency is well, going to the dogs. I've been here for a year and made a lot of things happen. Cheques for one. So, I'm..what you would call a star performer. Now, over 10 people have left in the past few months..and I want to too. B'coz I've found myself a job in a great place, with a great new boss. I'll have to give 1 month's notice but thanks to my present company's policy (or the lack of it) I won't get paid for that month! So, if I'm not going to get paid, I'd obviously rather tae a holiday than work, right? Now, my present boss pampers me a great deal and would emotionally blackmail me into anything. Help! How do I give some great excuses to stop working and NOT have to give notice?

Just want to get an idea of what different people do for a living...
- Day to day activities in your position? (hard or easy)
- If it pays well?
- If your happy doing it?
- What you had to do to get the job?

I haven't worked for over a year because I couldn't get a job but I finally interviewed for a Baiter job at a marina on a local lake. It pays $12.00 per hour to enroll as an apprentice. It takes two years to get your master license. It pays $22.00 per hour. It is full time with benefits from day one. I need to work but after two years as an apprentice ..Do I really want to be known as a Masterbaiter?

I started my job 7 years ago and loved it, Since that time my boss hired his best friend and he and I dont get along in fact before he was hired he called me the "C" word. Not only did he get hired I have to deal with him on a daily basis as a supervisor. Now I am quitting but I feel quilty . Prior to this my boss was an awesome boss he would help any one anyway he could. But I cant stand his friend he is rude and thinks he knows everything. My boss knows I have been looking should I tell him the real reason I am quitting or just leave

I was diagnosed with ADD and can barely work at a job for more than a few months before getting bored of it. Although most people can get bored at their job and still do it well, my production falls off greatly and I wind up either quiting or getting fired. Does anyone know what would be a good occupation for a college educated person with ADD?

I want to find a new position - I get interviews, but then they come back with some B.S. answer about why I didn't get the job when I know I was qualified and I presented well. Also, any tips for finding jobs out of town? I need some networking help. I am desperate. I have an advanced degree with a background in sales/marketing with technical writing/compliance experience. Thanks.

I am still at school and I want to know what type of jobs I could do when I am older. I am really good at Maths, Fundaments of Business and Computer Technology. I get all A+ in them. Then I am good at English, Science, Media and Home Economics. I get A and A- in those. So what do you recommend???

Let's help these people find jobs by listing job search sites to help them look. Here are two
that I like: www.simplehire.com and www.indeed.com. Best sites get 10 points.

I wanna know (from personal experience only) if these companies are good to work for. I'm trying to help my cousin find a decent, clean, good paying job. He was a cart attendent at Sam's Club and they treated him like crap! Here's my list on nearby businesses.....

Sears
Movie Theaters
Staples
Lowes
Home Depot
Office Depot
Pet Smart
Barnes and Nobles
Office Max
Discount Auto Parts
Hertz Rent a Car
Walgreens
CVS
Any good shops to work for in the mall??
L.A.Fitness (Do you need experience?)
Starbucks
Just for Feet
Publix (I hear the pay is not good but great company)
Walden Books

I just need a list of good jobs. If you've had a bad experience with a certain company, I'd appreciate to hear about it so I can tell him to avoid it. I've worked in fast food and my sister in retail so we told him not to work in Ross, Bealls, all fast food franchises. He's applied at Target but it seems they won't call him back. He's shy so little interaction would be best. Thanks.
