When I was 14 I had two jobs, both off the books. I know newspapers will often hire 14 year olds to deliver papers and that is legal and on the books.

Possible? Yes. The best choice you could ever make? No. I worked at 14 for about 2 months. Here's what I recommend. Ask the manager if you can work for about 2 months and then stop, like quit, but not actually just walk out. Cause its cool for the first few paychecks, but then it's like "why work now i'll have to work the rest of my life why not enjoy my childhood years now?" Thats what happened to me. So find a place that will let you work for a few months then leave. Most grocery stores and small restaurants hire at 14.

Yes, you can work at 14. If you have papers from school, that's great. But if it's just for a summer job, you can work quite a bit more. When I was 14 I worked as a camp counselor. You may want to look into jobs like that as well as grocery stores.

yes, however you will have to create your own job until your 15 and get a workers permit. you must have good grades in school because the school okays it. i had one at 15. you could babysit, mow yards, clean houses for people. use your mind and do something you like to do. do you sew? their is alot of possibilities for you. as far as a secular job there are laws of the land that have to be kept. do you have any relatives in business?sometimes family will put you to work. if so be honest and give your 100%. just because one works for family doesn't mean you should take advantage of them. i hope you find work. PS. you can corn tassel at 14 check into that it will soon be time. that is a real job.

Not in Show Business or not if you start your own business. It is very enterprising and ambitious of you to want to work at your age. Most young people want everything given to them, probably because they are use to it.
