What do my credit worthiness, credit standing, and credit capacity have to do with my qualifications for a job? All an employer needs is my employment history - did I actually work where I said I did, and my criminal background - did I embezzle millions from the company, and my education. Things like "general reputation", "mode of living", "personal characteristics", and "judgements against me", (All of these are items on a job application I picked up the other day) have nothing to do with whether I'm qualified for a job. My credit rating doesn't tell you if I can run a computer, or repair a car, or anything else. Why do they want this information?

I work with lady that is 39 and I am 24. We are both admins for the same department she has only been her 6 months longer than me. I've now been here 6 months! I know everything she knows. She tries to tell me what to do and what to work on. She also arrives earlier than me (which I am already 10 minutes early) just so she can get all the work for herself and nothing for me to work on. The person before me quit b/c of her! I've tried and tried to explain this to my boss but he just doesnt not get it! I want to stay here I like it but I am afraid I might have to leave this job!?

I have had A successful 20 year career in the printing industry and recently went back to school and recieved a Bachelors degree. I want to change careers and stay away from printing. But along with my tranferable skills, experience, and education, I have had no luck getting an interview. I can't get past recruiters who have specific guidelines to adhear to, or, the on-line application is just dumped into the black hole until some one searches the right key word. Help.

I am in an entry level position and because of the geography (layout/floorplan) of my office I am secluded from everyone else and have been since I started here. I have tried on occasion to be friendly but am met with rudeness or being brushed off. Its my understanding that I am not the only person in this position to go through this and would just like to know what you think I should or shouldnt do. Presently, my line of defense has been to ignore it.

If you dont have an answer, its cool to get your two points and move on. Thank you.

I am a new recruiter trying to find more drivers. I need ideas on where to find drivers without spending a lot of money (ie CareerBuilder - $2800, or billboards). We are a small company (100 drivers) and do not have a lot in the budget for recruiting. Any ideas would be appreciated. : )

I found this job in the newspaper, and i figured out the address of the company through its website. It seems a bit far and i'm not much of a driver so i dn't want to drive to places I don't know. Moreover it's away from the downtown area( about 4 blocks).. and in my city when you get away from the main area, you start finding things like gangs.. and stuff. So should i even bother if i know it's going to be a bad area?

I'm a 21 full-time college student that is recently engaged. I use to know my major, but due to certain circumstances I decided it'd be hard to cut. Well now I'm left starting my 3yr of college, and NO idea what I want to do for the rest of my life. Any suggestions? a little background on me, I like helping others, I'm a realitively created person, I like to cook, i'm a hard worker and good cleaner. I'm fairly intelligent, and tend to stress too much, so it'd be nice to do something where I won't be stressing forever. I'm also trying to finish school within 2 years (by/close to the wedding). I use to be into weather, but it was a comptetitive field.

PLEASE HELP ME! ANy and all unique or different jobs one can get w/ a college degree is welcomed!

On several occasions the recruiter has told me that she will call me back to set up an interview. I never received a call. She blamed this on a Manager not returning her pages. However, this same manager has always been prompt in returning my pages.

Let's face it, you're not going to be president and you're not going to play in the NBA. But if you could get the education you needed, or financing you needed, or move to whatever geographic location you needed, what would you choose to be your profession?
