I am a new recruiter trying to find more drivers. I need ideas on where to find drivers without spending a lot of money (ie CareerBuilder - $2800, or billboards). We are a small company (100 drivers) and do not have a lot in the budget for recruiting. Any ideas would be appreciated. : )

i work for a reefer trucking company( smaller than yours 50 trucks) and we only advertise through word of mouth and referrals from our current drivers. we mainly have owner operators leased to us instead of employee drivers though so it may he harder for you to recruit. offer drivers $100 bonus if their referral stays with your company for more than 6 months. also look for companies who are going broke and offer their drivers jobs. we got some good drivers this way,

does you company offer sign on bonuses? you should also get your company's business card in the truck stops. Most of the truck stops have a place that company's put there business cards out. Talking on the CB is also a way to advertise just be careful where you do that and how you word it.
