The problem I had was that I liked my boss as a person, but as a boss she was awful. She never seemed to see when the work load was too much for one person and she even hired in younger people at a higher pay! I had been there for 10 years! She would leave work to go and get her nails done or get a bikini wax and still be on the clock. She didn't seem to see anything wrong with this! I don't think she was a bad person, just she was used to getting whatever she wanted and she liked the people who kissed up to her over the people who actually did the work. When I complained about the pay being more for the new people, they found a reason to fire me. That was in January and I have not been able to find another job in my field since. That kinda changed my feelings about her being a nice person.....lol.

It really should not be an issue if you "like" your boss. They are not put there for you to like them. They are put there to keep order in the work place and to make sure you do your job efficiently and correctly. Keep in mind that many of us do not know our bosses outside of the workplace. For the few who have gotten to know your boss on a personal level consider youself lucky. Many bosses would prefer to keep the relationship on a professional level. It keeps your propective about them serious. You don't work at a job to make friends, you are there to do your job and get paid. However, if you boss is rude and uses verbal abuse against you then that isn't even considered a boss. It's simply a person of higher authority who has taken his title to his head and beyond. It is only then should you seek help from someone else on the management level so that you can handle the situation and avoid being mistreated simply because you are an employee. As do the rules say, every employee deserves the respect as well as they should give it.

I love my boss, because I am my own boss. The best job to have is to work for your self, trading your time for some else's money is hard, epically when your boss is doing the same and is not happy with their job. I've liked all the supervisors I've had the privilege of working with. I can't say anything bad about them. The employee that's a different thing.

I like my bosses. Though sometimes I wish I had higher pay from one. Don't we all? ;-)
