Hi!
I need you to help me find out the amount when it comes to adding taxes....

If I were to add 14% tax (Gsp + Pst), how would I do that? I know I should know but I don't, LOL

Let's say I want to know how much is $56.68 + Tax, is it equal to $64.61 ??

and $61.98 = $70.66 ?? .99 is $1.13, right? I just hate math....I know this is pretty common, but I don't deal with it, so I'm not too sure....10.65 + tax = $12.14, right??

Please answer all my questions.....And please do not make fun, this is serious!!!

Only mature answers please!!!

We purchased a home 18 months ago and just realized an extensive foundation crack. The previous home owner stated that previous water damage had occurred, but that he fixed it. Since we purchased the home during the dryer (summer) months and the room was finished, no problems were identified. During the spring we did notice some water in the carpet. Recently after heavy rains, the room became flooded. We pulled back the carpet only to realize a large crack the length of the floor. Furthermore, the carpet wood tack was completely rotten from water damage. It is clear this was not recent structural damage and the previous home owner had knowledge. Do I have legal recourse?

Yes I know that there are mines underground but silver is mixed with other alloys which takes more to seperate.
The overall process is also time consuming enough that it would take a number of years to accumulate enough to change the investment picture.
With the overall need of silver for electronics,as well as many other uses it far outweights gold for the same.

I was considering silver stocks regarding this- comments /ideas ?

I have held two jobs this year at different times, but was not employeed the entire year. I made roughly roughly 8 grand at the first job, and two grand at the current one. I am eighteen years old living on a budget and have claimed zero. What can i expect for tax returns this year? its just a question of curiosity, nothing really hinges on it. Thanks

I moved out of my apartment a few days before my 30 day notification and the owner of my apartment is refusing to give me back my $1,000 deposit. I spoke with the landlord and gave him a verbal notice of 30 days but my written statement was only about 23 days in advance. Now the owner says that I breached the contract and he won't return my deposit. I had always paid my rent on time and I was such a great tenant..I don't know what to do..I'm not a rich person and I can't afford to lose that money. What should I do? Thanks...

Lester Enterprises’ comparative balance sheets included inventory of $55,300 at December 31, 2006, and $41,500 at December 31, 2007. Lester’s comparative balance sheets also included accounts payable of $34,500 at December 31, 2006, and $23,000 at December 31, 2007. Lester’s accounts payable balances are composed solely of amounts due to suppliers for purchases of inventory on account. Cost of goods sold, as reported by Lester on its 2007 income statement, amounted to $460,600. What is the amount of cash payments for inventory that Lester will report in the Operating Activities section of its 2007 statement of cash flows assuming that the direct method is used?

I am trying to apply for my first part-time job, and have so far not had any luck. I can't even get an interview anywhere, and now the holiday hiring season is almost over. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Also, I read somewhere that you can show interest in a job that you applied for by following up with a phone call. I thought that you're only supposed to follow up after an interview, but maybe I'm wrong. Can someone confirm what I've read? It might help with getting a job.

If the above is true, would it be appropriate to follow up to an online interview if it states that "There are currently no interview dates available for the associated time period. If your qualifications are a match for an available position, you will be contacted for an interview." They make it sound like there is no job opening, but I know there is at least one. I don't want to sound annoying to the company, but I also don't want to miss out on this opportunity.

Please help me out.

I have tried to figure out the IRS website, but can not make sense of it. If I am working overseas from January to end of July being paid by another country whilst working in another do I have to pay tax to the US? if the country I am being paid by pays it into a bank in that country and I transfer money, would I declare it, or better to just have it paid direct into a US bank and they see it, or do I also have to declare it. Somewhere I read it said up to 85.000 and you do not have to pay tax if your out a whle year. Anyone good on tax rules ?

First off, please don't give me your opinion, unless it is backed by reference to a legal document...

If 2 people live together...they sign a lease, with intentions of them both staying the full term of the lease (1 year)...1 roommate decides to move out after 6 months...does the roommate staying there have any sort of legal say over the person to replace the roommate?

If the 2nd roommate moves out, without finding a replacement, is he still legally responsible for his share of the rent to the Realtor? or will it fall on the roommate still living there? meaning, does the first roommate have to pay the entire rent to not get kicked out, and it will be on him to collect from the roommate who moved out?

PLEASE provide a link to a legal reference. this is in Boston MA if that makes any difference.

Thanks
