Most jobs really suck at this age, and being a lifeguard is actaully one of the better paying ones, except that you can only work during summer. I heard working at Target is easy and it pays higher than usual, but it is also harder than usual to get the job. It's worth a try. If you have really big money on your mind, be creative. Create a business doing something you love. Even if it fails it is a learning experience, and if it doesn't, you may be the next Mark Zuckerberg i.e. a millionaire $_$

The highest paying hourly job which brings in approximately $20 + for an 18 year old - a parking valet at a 4 star hotel!
Good luck!

Well, you can always try for a paid internship like at a local DMV or something, i know they pay well. If you were a lifeguard, i bet you're fit, so maybe a local gym would be a good idea. That's what I do. You could teach classes, even referee youth sports or something. Even, try being a lifeguard at an indoor pool. Our local YMCA pays $10/hour for parties and such.

Get a government job..go to USAJobs or the state you live in on their website. The state of Nevada has a bunch of jobs that needs only a high school diploma. Food service workers get paid $30,000 /year. Highway flag wavers get paid $34,000/year. So,google the "State of(where you live)" and then find jobs/employment and good luck!!

You should apply for a job where it doesn't take up too much of your time. Being a teen, you wanna hang out with your friends and of course (sadly) you have to do homework. I suggest baby sitting, working at a store, food deliverer, be a waiter at a restaurant, movie theatre cleaner, etc.

If you are a qualified life guard, try the YMCA or a gym. If they have an indoor pool they might need an experienced lifeguard!!!

I'm probably not really qualified to answer this question, but I heard Starbucks pays really good for 18 year olds. And plus, who wouldn't want to work at STARBUCKS? <3.
Good luck.
