I paid $ to secure an apartment and the rental office rented it out to someone else... can they do this w/o my written consent if the apartment that was to be mine was guaranteed?

I paid $ to secure an apartment and the rental office rented it out to someone else... can they do this w/o my written consent if the apartment that was to be mine was guaranteed? the agreement is in writing

You placed an security deposit down on an apartment and they rented it out from under you is not legal unless it says that you must be approved thru a credit check. If you where approved thru the credit check then you can sue them for any and all out of pocket expenses including moving expenses storage expenses including attorney fees. And you must have signed the aggreement.

Did you have a written rental agreement? Was it "guaranteed" in writing?
