It is really tough preparing for an interview. Some interviewers can be extremely difficult and hard to please. They twist their questions so well that we cant meet their expected way to answer them.
Always convince them that you are hardworking and willing to learn the job scope at the minimum time. You can work without supervision as long there is guidance given to you. Never show the interviewer that you are working for $$$ or to kill time. Do not be calculative on the working hours.

bring a resume.
You need to bring a resume with you for the interviewer to read. That will break the ice.
Make sure to let them know you will always be there, and on time. (even if you have a small baby and you know that WILL cause you to call in on rare occasion)
The answer to the why should I hire you question is:
(keep in mind you will be a representative for the company at&t) I think I would be an asset to the at&t call center because I am a people person with a cool, profesional attitude and I am a self motivated worker. As long as I am properly trained, I'm sure I'll be the right person for the job.
Dress in the nicest business pant suit you've got and smile!!!
Hope this helps...

Think of what a good call center employee would be, then match what your strengths are to that.
For instance, "You should hire me because I have a pleasant phone voice, am punctual, and I learn quickly."
Of course, you should be truthful (especially if you sound like you've had a tracheotomy, were late to the interview, and couldn't figure out how to open the interview room door).
It's good that you are preparing for the questions. You might also want to role-play an interview with a friend, so that you practice your responses. That way you won't stumble so much.

I wouldn't say anything like "my weakness is working too hard," and I wouldn't so blunt as to say "i really need the cash."
Your answer should be what they want to hear, but you don't have to lie to tell it. Tell them what the result for them is if you get what you want (the cash). For your example "(you should hire me because...) I enjoy helping solve peoples' problems and i think i will be an asset to the call center."
Also, try to throw something in there that tells them that you want to spend a long time there. Even if you don't plan on holding the job for a while, employers love to hear that. For example "I would like to start a career in customer care and since i enjoy helping solve peoples' problems, i think i would be an asset to the call center"
