This is my first time working through a staffing agency and I love it. Getting paid weekly instead of bi-weekly is hot. Not having to be fully caught up in office politics is cool. I can have a few months vacation if I want (since the compensation is usually well).

I fantasise all the time, im a hard worker. Im 16 years old and work my *** of for money, while also in full time education doing A levels.

Im curious, if i was to find a bag full of £10million pounds in notes, what would be the best thing to do with it? Dont say turn it in, because hypothetically ive already considered that option and decided that the person who i hand it in to behind the counter would just keep it or take a cut of it anyway ;)

I know that you cant just walk into a bank with a bag full of 10million and say "Id like to make a deposit please".

So, out of curiousity, what would you do? Personally i'd inform my two closest friends that im sorted financially, and i wont tell you anymore, but if you ever need anything let me know. And id give my immediate family everything they want, but i would do it slowly, not telling them how i came across the money.

So yeh, how to go about it?

They owe me £900!! They over estimated my gas and electricity readings, and over a period of 3 months they took nearly £600 out of my account, plus when I signed up with them and arranged the direct debits they gave me duff information so my direct debit payments have been too high for a year and a half. So all in all they owe me just over £900.

I was promised a cheque in the post, but when it didn't turn up, I phoned them only to find out that they had to follow "procedure" and send someone out to read my meters even though I'd given them accurate readings!

What's the best way of dealing with this sort of thing - I want MY money and I've got a feeling it may be a bit of a battle. Because of them, I'm overdrawn and getting letters from my bank!

Thanks.

I have some charge offs in my account now, and 90% of them are paid off now, I was told they are going to stay there for 7 years? Is that true? If so, I've heard of companies that can legally erase that paid charge off for a fee. Anyone hear anything about it?

I had just gotten employed at this business and I'm a college student. However, I am concerned if they will take taxes out of my check, being that its the end of the year, I was told that they wouldnt, however, if it is true, then I'll budget. So my question is: Can the gov't deduct taxes from your payroll check when its the end of the year?

Hi, I'm from New York State
I was recently married on 10/01/07 and I am only 18 years old.
Right now I am filling out FAFSA information so I can attend college in the Spring and my mom told me she is claiming me and that my husband cannot claim me because we have not been married for a year
--she also said that she has the right to claim me because she supported me all of the year 2007 up until the end of September

can she do this?
or can my husband claim me?

I am planning to file a California corporation and a US trademark.

However, I'm not sure what to do and in what order. Here's my tasks and some background info:

-I am forming a direct response company for 3 very different product lines.

-I will be getting some products from China and some I will develop here in California which I will be marketing/selling. The Chinese product source is secured (it's my colleague in China).

-I must form a US trademark for the China product lines.

-I want to put all of this under a single corporation

-I haven't started the business yet (ZERO has been done)

What should I do and in what order?

Okay....I have a hard time figuring out how much money my husband and I are supposesd to be getting back, and I have a couple of questions!

First....we are married...I did not bring in any income this year. I just started a job last week, however I am self employed!
So, can he claim me as a dependant? Everyone says yes, but when we did our taxes last year they told us NO!

We bought a home in September...can we get money back from that....and how do you determine that?
