Or have you heard of a recent leak? I am new to eBay and want to make sure that my info is secured with Paypal. Thanks for the input.

There is no such thing as "we need to update your information" email. Those are a scam NOT from ebay at all.

They will never ask you for your information for security purposes

The only time this changes is if YOU get a new credit card, like when your old one expires. Then all your credit card payments need updating

Never click on a link in their email
Always type in their name by hand

If there has been a recent leak, I would really like to know about it. My credit card that I use for pay-pal was recently compromised and fraudulent charges were put on it. The CC company called me and said that they were issuing new cards and numbers "for a large group of numbers that had been compromised." That's all they would say. I've only used the card three places in the last few months. Besides pay-pal, the other two were big chain stores.

i never had any problems. i do get phishing emails that say their form paypal & ebay i just delete them.
