My 1st home is almost paid off it is worth about 450,000 and I only owe 90,000. 2nd home I bought at 310,000 and it is only worth 260,000 now, and I still owe 308,000. Will the bank come after the difference on my 1st home.

Im thinking about going to school to become a RN i already have my CNA i got it a few years ago and honestly i didnt like being a CNA cause i was working at a nursing home was not my thing. (i didnt like how they treated the elderly) I made good grades when i was going to classes for CNA. My question is math has always been a very weak subject for me so will that be a issue when going for RN? Im willing to study hard and put the time into becoming a RN im just kinda uneasy about getting into it if math will be a big part of it. Thanks

I live in my own place but support my girlfriend and child whom live in a %30 income apartment across town. I pay all of her and my sons expenses such as rent (which is only $65.00) all groceries, gas, etc. We choose not to live together for personal reasons, and she does not work because she is in school. I am going to claim my son as a dependant on my income tax although he lives with her, (she is going to fill out the necessary form for me to do so). What I am wondering is whether or not I can claim head of household on my income taxes?

I have been in a Chapter 13 repayment plan for the last year. Due to my adjustable rate mortgage, my payment has gone up. At the beginning of the plan I did not sign a reaffirmafication on my mortgage, but I have continually paid my mortgage payment on top of my Chapter 13 repayment plan and now with my mortgage payment going up, I can not afford to pay the mortgage. I think it would be best for me to let the house get foreclosed on, but I want to continue making the Chapter 13 payment.

Question 1: If the house sells for less than what is owed, am I still responsible for the deficiency?

Question 2: Will I still be able to make my Chapter 13 repayment plan at the same amount that I'm paying now?

Question 3: Will I still get my full tax return refund?

Question 4: Does anyone know if Massachusetts has a foreclosure dificiency law while I'm in a Chapter 13.

Any advice would be helpful!

I'm new to this filing-on-my-own thing, and I just realized, after going through my file cabinets, that I have some money coming back to me from Uncle Sam. However, when I file this, do I need to use a form that says 2007, or should I use one that says 2006? The money was earned in 2006, so I wasn't sure how the tax years ran. Also, since I am married but will not be filing jointly, and made under 50K, what form should I use? This grown-up stuff is hard. :(

My wife is Cambodian. I think they should have to say press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, 3 for Chinese, 4 German, 5 for Portugese, 6 for Cambodian, etc. It just enables the illegals, and others not to learn our culture.

My boss told us late Friday evening that he is selling his company and we can either report to work at the company he sold to this Monday (tomorrow morning) or quit. I have no clue what I am going to be doing at this other place etc. He states I am being laid off but have option to work for this other company. I want to see how this would effect me collecting unemployment insurance if any? Located in CA. Thank you.

I have a deadbeat former employer and I'm fairly certain that he won't send me a W2 for the time I worked for him. I am unsure how to even get a hold of him since his business has since gone bankrupt. What should I do if he doesn't send me a W2 form?

have 4 yrs as a ward nurse began a new job as delivery room nurse. the nurse manager for that dept is on vacations an all the training is done by staff. Staff nurses give input to the director of nursing on how we are doing. Most of the time the teaching ocurrs when we do things differently or dont fill out forms the way they do. Love the dept but im dissapointed by the way things are done. opinions welcome,thanks!!

I couldn't write much because of the space provided above! I moved into my apartment set up Electricity service. I did not receive a bill called the company they said my service had been cut off. I resolved the problem found out someone in the apartment complex had set up new service under there name with my apartment #. I let the apartment complex know. They explained that there was nothing they could do because they did not deal with the electricity. We got a knock on the door from the lady who had made the mistake with 4 bills she had paid for our apartment. She has not been paying electricity under her apartment because the complex has been paying it and did not know. We had to transfer our electricity service to someone we did not want to because of her mistake plus pay two start up fee's. What do we need to to do? Doesn't seem like the apartment complex wants to get involed and I don't want to pay the lady. I've been through hell trying to get this resolved! HELP!!!!

one of my co-workers is always giving me grief about every little thing. she says i'm doing stuff wrong and i have to point out and show her constantly that i am doing it right. i am so sick and tired of her that i can't stand her voice anymore. when she calls my name i'm thinking what now. i've told her off before, but i end up getting in trouble, so now i pretty much just ignore her, but she keeps messing with me. i keep imagining swinging her around by her hair.

I really dont understand because I figured around 1000.
But, our friends figured out 8000 for themselves....my husband and my friends husband are military...same rank!

I am a RN & just started this new job 3 mos ago. I work day/eve now, but want to go to just days. I found out you have to write a letter of request for a shift change. This is the process and they do not go by seniority. I figured I would have to wait for seniority, but this not being the case; I would like to get off evenings now. Any suggestions for letter etique w/o sounding greedy?

I have been living in my apartment for 4 years and in September I had to find new roommates. one of my roommates is perfectly fine. she pays bills on time and contributes to the house.the other roommate moved in and he has extreme emotional problems. we believe he is depressed. he has paid rent on time but has forgotten twice since Septemeber to pay utilitiy bills. he does not help out around the house AT ALL. he does not shower (once evey 10 days). he is in law school and he does not go to class, he does not work. he sleeps all day. he is extremely socially ackward and i just feel that since i have been living there for the longest and even though we all signed the lease, he has not contributed to the house, utlitiy bills have been late, he smells awful. The landlord came by last week to fix his door and told him about the smell from his room and keeping his room clean and even after that he has not showered. what are my rights as a tenant to remove him.
