Hey everyone--

I am needing to apply for my first credit card soon to start building some credit. What are some things that I should know about and consider when I am doing this? I am planning on making payments as soon as possible. Where can I find a credit card with an interest rate that won't get me out of too much money? Is there a certain place I can go to apply for a credit card WITHOUT going through a mail service? These things would be great to know. Thanks!

I've tried asking this before, but I still get the "free credit report.com" answer.

If my property taxes are billed late and do not become due and payable until next year, can I still deduct them on this year's return. Let me clarify. Tax bills went out today; they are due early January. If my mortgage company does not pay them until the due date (I have already paid all amounts into escrow) can I still deduct them on my 2007 return.

I would appreciate any advice from tax professionals or anyone else that knows. Code references will be especially appreciated.

So, I'm a student, and I was reading over a balance sheet, and I noticed that the total of the balance sheet section debit column on the work sheet is higher than the total of the assets on the balance sheet.

My question is, Why is the asset total on the balance sheet not the same as the debit column of the balance sheet section of the worksheet?

Sorry if this is confusing..thanks :)

Here is what I've got so far...

1) Is there a sales quota? If so, what is it?

2) What is your sales track record (number of new accounts generated per quarter) for this product?

3) Based on your charts, how long does the average sale take to make?

4) Will you provide me with UNLIMITED leads?

5) How qualified are the leads you will provide for me?

6) In what form are the leads (phone numbers, emails or websites)?

7) Who is the key decision maker that I should try to contact within each organization (web master, director of sales, etc.)?

8) What kind of guidelines/script will you be providing for me?

9) You mentioned that you will eventually double my base salary, pay for transportation (Gas), and will deliver some sort of benefits (ideally dental, retirement plan & paid vacation). In addition, you will promote me to "manager" of a sales team (director of sales)... What are the requirements for this sort of promotion?

With an incorrect account number and a roll number missing one digit, is it possible for a money transaction?
to go through. The situation is that housing benefit are claiming that they paid money into a wrong account using an incorrect account number and roll number missing one digit. They have been doing this since Aprill. Is it possible?

Previously I have used swift to send money abroad and if the account number or roll number was wrong the money would be returned to my account the following day and the transaction would not go through. Is this not what would happen with housing benefit in the circumstance described?

Like most Americans, I got caught up in the housing boom and totally over borrowed on my home. I took out HELOC’s to buy a Harley Davidson and a boat about a year ago. I can’t really afford my payments right now as it is and I just got a letter saying that my ARM is resetting in March (I never bothered to read the loan agreement I signed) to find out that my housing payment is tripling next year!

I just caught wind of the government’s plan to freeze interest rates on the housing market. Does anyone know how one signs up for this plan? I would like to lock in my rate before Christmas if possible since I am planning on buying a new Lexus for significant other as a surprise this year.
