I have a relative who has been using my name, address and social security number to try to set up loans in my name to pay some debt that she owes. The bank got my phone number and told me about it. How can I report her? I already have a fraud alert on my credit report with the 3 reporting agencies. Is there anything else I can do?

I work in a department at a law firm with a woman who can only be described as a BULLY. She has a rep around this town wherever she has worked as a Bully, and has been disciplined at her last firm for always bullying the other staff members she worked with, and trying to always pick out the easiest work to do so that her work always looks perfect. And, then complaining to managment because the other staff members more difficult projects have minor problems.

Sadly, this woman came to this firm with a phony letter of reference and the office manager and supervisor did not call and check out her background at her last law firm.
I tried to talk to the office manager about this problem & she told me, you had better get alone with her, because "her work is perfect" (not tru& she comes with sterling recommendations. (Which, of course I know to be untrue). I am just at a quandry as to what to do to handle this. I am 66 years old and have to work 3 more years & need the job

I have a large portfolio of stocks that I bought several months ago and I have huge profits on paper. If I sell now, I will have to pay a 28% cap gains tax on it, so I am wondering how long I should hold these stocks in order to qualify for the much lower long term cap gains tax rate. Thanks for your help.

I am house hunting in Mississippi. After MONTHS of looking, I just found the perfect house! Problem is that it is sale pending.
Situation: No Realtor in town knew about the house until Tuesday. That is the same day it was released into MLS, put on websites, and got a "Sale Pending" sign in the yard (neve had a "for sale" sign). I thought it was funny that it could have sold so quickly. So, I begain digging. I found out that the buyer had the seller do work on the house, the work was already completed and there was a closeing date set on the house, before Tuesday, the day it went for sale to the public.
I believe there is a law that says that when a realter lists a home, they have hours or a day to make that listing public, not weeks.
What can I do? Even though it is too late to get the house, I want to report the realtor for these shady practices!

My score was 750 until my spouse lost his good paying job, and couldnt get equivelant pay so our income drastically dropped. We continued to pay good on house and cars, and tried to make cc payments. had to skip payment on one because min was too high, so under universal default the others raised interest and min payment none of these scum bag collectors want to work out a payment plan they want all or nothing and one harrasses me daily for my personal banking info, which I wont give. Question is if I file chapter 7 how much worse will the score posasibly get, I opened 2 small cc to try to rebuild and have been good with them, also would not include them in BK will have 0 balance and hope they let me keep so that I can start the re build process. Its humiliating to do a BK but I feel like it is truly the last resort, I have very little equity in the house thanks to previous refi with cash out to pay for other cc that husband brought to table. what to do I feel like crap!

Ok, my major dilemma. My lease is up at my apt. complex. I am thinking of either staying there and continuing to pay rent UNTIL I graduate in May OR I am wondering if I should move back home (1 hour drive away) and finish up the rest of my schooling simply by commuting 4 days a week?

What do you think I should do? I am honestly thinking about going home and saving rent money, but is the drive and time worth it?

Let me know what you think!

Thanks!!!

My husband just quit a salary job in Ga. to accept a new job in our home state of Tn. He turned in a two week notice and his boss in Ga gave him a week off with pay to think about staying. In the middle of that week he called and asked him to go to a company in Tn to help with some quality issues. It was 3 hours one way to get there & 3 hrs back, plus 6 hours to help with the problem. It took two days to settle the problem. Now, the old company has refused to pay him for the entire last week he worked, saying they didn't owe him any vacation because he took off that week with pay, and his job ended on a Wednesday. If he was a salary employee can they do this? When employeed with them there were days he worked 6 days a week without overtime, but now they are trying to say they broke down his weekly salary to just the three days he worked. Where can I go online to get more info about this?

#1 limit 450.00 = balance 398.00 w/fixed APR 23.99 annual fee/12 = 5.75 monthly and opened 03/06.

#2 limit 850.00 = balance 788.02 w/APR 29.99 annual fee/12 = 10.95 monthly ( high apr went over limit 2 months ago ) and opened 11/06

Which one is best to pay off first?
A) card 1 - lowest amount and can be paid off this month. ( Thanks mom and dad for the 400.00 loan ) Called company yesterday. They waived monthly annual fee for 3 months. APR is fixed. Once paid off. Take extra payments that normally would pay card 1 and apply it to card 2.

card 2 - pay 400 towards the current balance, continue to focus extra payments to card 2 and pay 5.00 over minimum of card 1 & 3 until card 2 is paid for and closed. I know closing will hurt my score some. However, I want to get away from multiple annual fees.

My idea is. Once #2 closed and #1 paid in full but left open. Work on #3 limit is 750 with 716.67 balance.APR 27.99 & Annual fee billed yearly 59.00

Thank you!

My husband and I are trying to get a small business loan for either a LLC or INC. we want to start up. We have received an offer from Menkel Financial Group for the amount of 20,000. The problem with this is that the group is out of Jamaica (UK) which makes me a bit uneasy. I've tried to run it through the Greater Better Business Bureau (Menkel Financial Group 89 King St. West Jamaica WI 877-292-3584) but they only deal with the United States. They also want a 1500.00 disability insurance payment before the 20,000 is deposited which sounds funky to me as well. I guess what I want to know is if it is a regular practice these days to get a loan over sea's perhaps because of today's rates? Is an insurance policy such as this one a regular practice with lenders. Is there some other way I can look this company up that I haven't tried yet? I have a low credit score and no collateral but I do not want to make a choice just because my choices are limited.
