The bank played a big part in forcing me to go bankrupt. They didnt have a problem lending me the money, but when I asked for help (very early on when I knew we were running into trouble) they didnt want to know, they carried on charging me which escalated the problem, once I had a total of £525.00 charges in just one day!! In one tax year I had over £8000.00 in charges and ended up losing my business and more importantly my house. Even if I can not claim anything back, I hope that everyone else carries on doing it to teach the banks a lesson!!!

I am recently divorced and left with two mortgages, credit card debt, student loans, a son to take care of, and no child support. If I can sell my house, I will be lucky to break even. I am considering bankruptcy and including my house to simply walk away and let the bank have the keys. I have a good job, but am so buried by debt right now I am living off credit cards. Currently all of my payments are current on the house and credit cards, but I can't keep that up.

Understanding that bankruptcy does not include student loans, can anyone give me some advice on if this is the right thing to do? Additionally, would I then be able to purchase a small townhouse to move into with my son if my parents are willing to cosign the new mortgage with me?

Thanks for any suggestions!!!!

I would like to start a small (home-based) business custom-building models/replicas based on a character from a popular TV series. Can anyone recommend the proper procedures required that would ensure that ALL copyrights are respected? Do I contact the studio involved in making the series to get their permission? Should I hire an attorney for this?
ANY info or advice would be greatly appreciated!
(p.s. I plan to offer my custom-made models within a specially-designed glass case. Can anyone ALSO recommend a company I can contact to build these cases for me??)

Is being a farm defined by state law or federal law ? Does being a farm relate to what percent of your surface land is covered, or does it relate to the absolute dollars of produce grown ? What are the primary tax and "subsidy" benefits of having a small farm ?

My mother lives in an apartment complex that is Equal Housing Opportunity. She doesn't make much money but when she does get a raise her rent goes up a bit, which is to be expected.
Now, what boggles my mind is that whenever one of her neighbors (that also live in the same complex) move out, the apartment manager raises her rent and everyone elses in the complex to make up for the difference. There are about 8 different complexes that belong to these apartments and each complex has 8 units. So when one person moves out 7 other tenants have their rent raised and when someone else moves in the rent stays up and doesnt come back down.

So! My question, is this legal?

Tonight my landlord called and said that we have to move within 2 months. We have a 1 year lease and we are in the 9th month of this lease. He said that he is loosing the property because he cannot afford anymore to pay the bank, so the bank is taking his appartment. He proposed that we do not pay next month and we move. When I asked him to prove me that, he said that he hasn't to prove anything, we just have to move. Does the law allow to do that? Is the only solution to accept his unilateral deal?

If you have an appraisal done on a house, and you offer the seller a certain amount say like 150,000 dollars but the house is only appraised for 125,000 can you make sure that you get the house for the lower price, because an appraisal costs money and you dont wanna just spend money for an appraisal unless you can be sure you will get the house for the appraisal amount. How do you make sure you will get the house for the price of the appraisal at least?

I got interested in some new homes in Sunnyvale on Tasman, but then I noticed there are quite a few large mobile home complexes around the area. I drove around the area, day time as well as night time, the area seems to be very peaceful. But friends are telling me the numerous mobile home parks around the area could be a major negative factor. so Questions being:

1. Does mobile homes really de-value the homes around it? Especially when there are so many around you.
2. These mobile homes around Tasman seems to be very big and peaceful. Is there something that I am not seeing?

On July 1, 2007, Lumas Co. pays $13,500 to Patel Insurance Co. for a 4-year insurance contract. Both companies have fiscal years ending December 31. For Patel Insurance Co. journalize and post the entry on July 1 and the adjusting entry on December 31 to all accounts except cash. (When preparing the T-accounts, list balance sheet accounts first and put a 0 in any column that does not require a posting.)

I got this, is it correct?
july 1 debit -cash 13500
Cr.-prepaid insurrance 13500
Dec 31 Debit prepaid insurrance 1688
Cr. insurance expense 1688
Insurance expense
July 1 13500, 0
Dec 31 0, 1688
End Balance. 11812, 0

Prepaid insurrance
july 1 0 , 0
dec 31 1688, 0
ending balance 1688 , 0

The reason I ask, is that I was layed off a couple of years ago, after working for 26 years straight (not necessarily for the same company). That forced me to hunt for new employment which took about 2 1/2 months, however the new employer ended up paying far more than my previous employer.

I'm just wondering if this is a common occurence. Maybe getting layed off forces you to find a better opportunity?

and learned how to make *Valid credit card numbers.
i went on steam, punched in the credit card info. (all fake)
and i completed the entire thing. im at the point were it is showing me my receipt. Im really wondering if i should press that Purchase button and download the game (half-life2).
i enterd in completly fake billing information and such, and i am not anywhere remotly close to living in the united states.
Will they be able to track me down and arrest me if i push that "Purchase button"?
or will everything go good and i will be with a free game no sweat?
OR~~ will they ban my account all together from steam leaving me unable to play the game?
so...
Should i Go for it? Getting the free game and all?
