In the U.S., you must have an acceptable degree. If you graduated after 2003, you'll need a minimum of a 5 year degree.

It would be better if you knew someone here in the US who could probably recommend you to the hospital they are working at. And then the hospital can petition you or help you get a working visa.

Hmm why do not you strengthen up first and do your analyze on adoption AND international adoption till now you even evaluate adoption. Adoption is meant to be relating to the youngster's suited interest not your desires or needs.
