The bank played a big part in forcing me to go bankrupt. They didnt have a problem lending me the money, but when I asked for help (very early on when I knew we were running into trouble) they didnt want to know, they carried on charging me which escalated the problem, once I had a total of £525.00 charges in just one day!! In one tax year I had over £8000.00 in charges and ended up losing my business and more importantly my house. Even if I can not claim anything back, I hope that everyone else carries on doing it to teach the banks a lesson!!!

if you were a sole trader when you went bankrupt and you are now discharged, like any other person you re- claim the excessive charges by the bank. I can not believe that official receiver will be interested in you any longer,as you are discharged & in any case he does not know what you are planning to do .

It's worth trying to reclaim as part of the UK Wide review of bank charges by the OFT.
Check out the Uk website for assistance.

Attempting to regain these charges would be difficult, but as you are discharged from bankruptcy, worth trying.
The first argument you will face is that any money recovered is still due to your creditors.
If you have no creditors then there's no reason why you shouldn't be the recipient.

No, you can't. They got that money out of you pre-bankruptcy. They just can't get more.
