the nursing home delema?

My moms social securty is going straight into our checking account.Not to the nursing home.
I pay the bill with whats in the checking account.I cant work cause i have very bad arthrists.
Now that the money is all in my name i cant get any assistance from the goverment

Sounds like your mom's SS needs to go into her own account, or some sort of trustee account, so the funds won't be yours in the government's eyes.

You probably need to speak to an elder law attorney on how to set this up.
