she has been back in the uk for several years, not teaching but having several properties. since turning 60 she has only being recieving £23. should she not be entitled to any pension from somewhere, for the years she worked abroad.thanks

I know someone who tried to get widows pension only the husband hadn't enough stamps on in this country the DSS followed it up and the remainder of the pension comes from Ireland, I think that he only had 90% of stamps in the UK before dying so now the woman get old age pension the remainder is made up each month from Ireland, not sure what country you are on about but it's worth looking into.

edit: I think the answer above has hit the nail on the head in their last sentence.

Unfortunately not. I currently work in another country and have been told that if I want a pension I still have to send taxes to the British government in order to claim later. The system is out for all that it can get off it's citizens. The only people who get the free bees are the immigrants.
