If the 401K was rolled into a roth ira first and you have enough to pay off your house, then took whatever money you were previously paying into your mortgage and paid it into your IRA, would this benefit you or hurt you in the long run.

figure mid to late 30's with $100,000 and 15-20 years left on the mortgage
(I am quite a few years away from this but curious if it would work to my favor when I get there.)

I've never really know what I should do on this, and I'm starting this month to put extra on it to pay it off earlier, what would be more effective? Thanks!

For your education. Hillary Clinton would like to give $5000 to children born in America to pay for education or what ever. I paid for my own education here, so why should my tax money pay for other peoples children.

A picture of an ex-employee was taken from a co-worker of mine by her Boss. The Boss instructed her that "We do not talk to ex-employees". When she requested to have her picture returned to her the Boss flat out told her "NO".

What rights does she have under Federal Employee Law? Is this considered theft?

I have both Roth IRA's for my wife and myself some 10 years ago. Apparently we have choosen the wrong mutual funds (Bnak of america MARSICO fund Family) which was suggested to us by the banks pesonal finance representative. As nothing happened in 11 year. I guess only the bank or the fund made some money.

Now I am having a job situation and I need the money. How can I get my money back

Thanks

I am interested in purchasing a single family house on Long Island, NY which currently has an illegal apartment upstairs with a kitchen with a stove, sink and refrigerator. When the appraiser comes to look at it and notes the upstairs kitchen, will this affect the bank's decision on whether or not to give us the mortgage loan? If so, is it possible that we can just disconnect the stove and somehow cover up the sink when the appraiser comes? What about the fridge? is that also illegal? Please help!!

I just started working for the first time since I graduated from college. I received my first paycheck, and the government took out almost $40. I'm single and only claim myself as a dependent. Is this normal?

I need to get some crowns and I know that it won't be cheap. I have enough space on one of my credit cards to put them on, however the interest rate is not that great. I know that "care credit" offers payment plans that would save me money in the long run, but I intend to apply for a mortgage next year. SO: Would the balance of a new credit line effect my credit approval chances more than just adding the balance to an existing account?

I hear a lot of talk about how people invest their monies in stocks, and how you can see your money grow fast. I'm in my mid 20s, and I haven't started in a career yet (finishing school in 08), but I want to start investing my money for the future. How can I start investing in stocks? Is it easy to start? What do I need to start? Is there anyone I need to talk to first? What are the best stocks to invest in? I know I have so many questions, but I really don't know much about this. Thanks for the advice!

We recently supplied goods to an exiting customer (limited company). Goods were signed and received in the exiting customers company name. Customer now disputing that he owes this money as he claims to have sold the business prior to the order being placed. The order was given to our agent by the shop manager who had always placed the orders. We have asked the Director of the company on several occassions to supply the name & address of the people who he claims to have sold the business to but so far he has not been forth coming with the information. He will no longer answer our calls therefore it seems to us like he is trying to pull a fast one. The address which we have delivered to is now empty - addressee 'gone away' .Is it best just to go ahead with a County Coiurt Summons to the company and have the paperwork served at the registered office address? the debt totals 1.8k inc vat

I've heard of buying homes that aren't for sale, but I know it's rare and I'm not too sure how to go about it. I want to buy back a house I once lived in over 15 years ago, people are living there now. What, if anything, can I do to get it back?

I currently purchase stocks from several companies through sharebuilder.com-Ebay, Wal Mart, Home Depot, NASDAQ 100. I have the payroll department at my job put the money into my account through direct deposit. I like using sharebuilder because it helps me build my portfolio one share at a time. I have a goal of getting at least 100 shares in each of these stocks, provided that these companies continue to prosper. Should I aim for a higher number of shares such as several hundred or a thousand? I am looking in the long term of 10-20 years. I am not looking into aggressive stock purchasing and selling, for example a day-trader-one who sells and buys constantly.

My dream has always been to write. I am currently an English major and write regularly. My husband and I decided that if I could make $30,000 or more in one year freelancing part time around my full time job, part time school and family, that I would leave my crappy job and freelance full time. Is this possible?

I just got turned down for a loan at Chase and I need to take out a loan for $13,000 to buy a car from my friend. I have a credit score of 670, pay about $450 in rent a month, make about $400 a week, and still owe a few hundred on my two credit cards. Is there any place I can go that will be more likely to approve a loan for me? And, is it still possible for me to get a descent rate?

I need advise on how to talk to my mother, who lives with my husband & I, about her spending habits. My husband have been married for 5yrs & 2 yrs ago we were really struggling financialy so we moved my mother in with us to help keep us afloat. We have moved 2 times sinse then. We are now in a more expensive house and it just plain costs more to live. Well my problem is that she still goes and spends money going out to eat. Usually its either on her lunch break or when she calls home and asks whats for dinner and shes not happy with what I am cooking. The lunch break problem bothers me because my husband eats sandwhiches and chips for lunch everyday and when we dont have $ for lunch meat he has to eat PB&J'! But my mother is unwilling to make this sacrifice for the family. We dont have many "extras" as far as bills. The only things we have are mine and my husbands cell phones and the internet$7/m. The cell phones will be gotten rid of as soon as the contract is up.
