It's very, very hard to collect unemployment if you resign and then move out of State.

She can contact the unemployment office in the State she moved to and see, but I doubt she will get very far.

She will have to apply for unemployment in the state that she earned the wages in. Most states will not allow you to collect anything if you resign a job. She can try to apply and see what answer she is given, it doesn't cost anything to try!

(I moved from Texas to California, resigned my job to follow my spouse who's job moved to California. Texas put an 8 week penalty period for unemployment benefits to start because I resigned my job without having another one to go to but I did get some money before I found another job)

That was a bad excuse to give them .
How could she afford to move with so little $$$$ ?
How was she going to take care of them with NO income ?

Best to say she is looking for full time work because of personal conflicts at the previous job .
Only the unemployment office knows the rules for her state .
She should ask them instead of us .

No. You can only get UE when you're laid off. You can't get it if you are fired or you quit (no matter what). They are pretty strick with their rules. BUT she can always apply online and give it a try.
