If your spouse dies with a ton of debt and you basically have a lot of stuff but nothing worth any real money how does the courts ect. determine what is the dead spouses estate to sell to pay off the debts? Okay, so here's the deal. I go into work on friday to pick up my paycheck. I look through the drawer where all the cheques are kept. Just then my friend (who works there and was my mentor) walks up to me and tells me that I had been fired and my boss is withholding my paycheck.

Im wondering how this is at all legal?

He's also kept all my tips that I was supposed to recieve for the 4 months I worked there. (at a small restaurant)
Another co worker was fired as well and my ex-boss isn't even giving him a check apparently.

Please help me out guys, its really important I get this money!

I don't really understand how e-bay works. So, lets say i want to bid on an auction. I made a PayPal account, and i have a credit card. i click on 'Place a Bid' button, and than what happens? The money from my credit card is transfered to the buyers credit card/or bank account, and he sends me the object? And making a PayPal account is free? NOTE:i want only to buy things, NOT to sell.

Hi,
I am looking at renting out my property for a year or two whilst things settle and renting a new property whilst living away.

I understand that you pay tax (at 40% as already have a job) on any amount that is deemed profit once you have allowed for mortgage, agents, upkeep etc

What I am not sure of is that we are taking a mortgage "holiday" atm from our lenders. As such we are not making any mortgage payments although the interest still builds up. Do we still allow for the interests part of the mortgage payments? Would it be more prudent to start paying the interest amount of the mortgage payment to our lendder again to avoid getting a hefty tax bill at the end of the year?

How do I calculate the interest portion of our monthly payments? I do know that about 70% of our yearly payments are interest and the rest actually pays thte mortgage - based on last mortgage statement.

Hope this makes at least SOME sense :O)

In the last couple days i've been trying to leave my current job. my 1st attempt i was giving notice but it didn't work my boss was talking me out of my choice telling me i couldn't leave. 2nd attempt i got little harsh and started packing my things and couple coworkers saw this and started to panic and called my boss and told him the situation We then speak and discuss why i'm leaving he was saying i wasn't being rash on my thinking that i needed some time away to clear my mind to come back with empty mind - so was told to go on leave of absense. The major delma i have now is i took job offer at new Company which i start on the 1st of October. I reallly didn't want to mention that it was cause i got an offer else where because in the past i've had offers that i use to leverage bump in my salary. If i mention that they would say i'm taking advantage of the company for my own greed. What does one do at this point ? I'm totally lost

Ok, I work as a receptionist and I honestly hate this job because it is so boring!!! I just answer the phone which rings like once every 20 minutes....I sometimes type letters etc, but sometimes I have nothing to do, and I do look for things to do like filing, organzing my desk etc but once I'm done with that there is nothing else to do.....the 3 people I work with are nice but they are all in their 50's or 60's and I feel like I have nothing in common with them. And I feel so sad when I go to work, what should I do????? It took me so long to find this job but I'm honestly so unhappy with it.

I tracked it and the tracking says it was delivered.
We did not get the envelope in our LOCKABLE mailbox we had mail that day but not this envelope.

This is a good question i have listened to your answers and when i hear people say its because of the way we live i smile and then i think of the Dutch people who a third of them live below the sea level so man can stop the water levels but if nothing is done here in England next year the insurance companys will have another big pay out .
