I've greatly improved my credit after a bankrupcy four years ago. I really don't have any huge expenses and a need for credit cards, but I've used credit cards and a small car loan to build back my worthiness. (You see, I may want to buy a home in a few years)

My question:

The very first card I got post-bankrupcy was an ORCHARD BANK mastercard which is known as a credit repair type card. So............... now that I have the other better cards with bigger limits ($6000+) does it look worse for my credit profile to close the ORCHARD account that I have the longest history with (or) does it look worse having a credit repair type card open??????????

I live in Michigan a state where it is law to have insurance. I have also been denied insurance by a certain large insurance company based on my credit score. I just don't think they should be able to pull your credit report if your required by state law to carry it. Hey if i don't pay it cancel me.

What does it mean when a company says that it's going to reduce the number of authorized shares of common stock in the Company to 750,000,000? I don't know what it began with. But I am wanting to invest in this company, but want to know what this means. Is it a reverse stock split? Is the company doing poorly? I just want to know what it all means.

Thanks!

i saw this thing on the internet where someone will "trap" someone's ATM card, and pretend to try and help, then take the card from the trap once the person is gone, and in this example, they took 4000 dollars. Can someone really take that much? I thought there was a limit...thanks.

I was notified several weeks ago of a leak originating from the 2nd floor laundry room to the 1st floor ceiling, causing 6k in damage. The tenant does not believe they caused the issue, however written statements from a general contractor and plumber identified no signs of burst or leaky pipes. Leak was directly under tenants washer. I would like to remain my insurance dedubtible for this. Can I wait till the end of their lease (6 months from now) or do I have to try and collect no. I rather wait, so they don't try and retaliate since they are claiming it is not their fault. I don't have a problem paying if its my fault, but simply this is not the case. Your suggestions and thoughts are apprecited. Thanks

i had to pick up a few things at wal-mart on september 3,2007 so i wrote a check for 29.77.i had the money in my account but wachovia took it by mistake and told me that i would have to wait until they could find out why it was taken to get my money back.the check i wrote to wal-mart was returned i was told.so then walmart represented the check again and i was told by wachovia that the bank paid it and that i would have to pay the bank back what they paid to walmart.so today i look on my online account and notice that i had 257.00 in overdraft fees.i paid the 257.00 thinking that the walmart check would be cleared.comes to find out it didn't clear,so i called wachovia and they told my the check was sent back to walmart.man was i mad.when i explained that i was told that it would be paid if i pay my fees but that didn't happen.now i'm worried because i don't know how to get in touch with walmart to see if i can pay them the money that wachovia got me for.can someone tell me how to get..

already? I have a total of 75 credits from all the colleges I have attended, but I need a bachelor degree that is verifiable when I apply for positions. I know the positions and what to do, but that piece of paper is keeping me from a higher paying job (basically a resume/candidate eliminator).

Any suggestions??

My son was bitten by a dog at our friend's house. My insurance, BC/BS, will not pay for the injury to be treated claiming that our friend's 'Homeowners" insurance should pay for it. However our friend's are renters and have NO insurance, and NO money. Am I going to have to pay for this myself out of pocket? I feel like my insuance company has abaondend me and my son. If my son was to get injured at my house (which has happened before) BC/BS would and has paid for it and not claimed that my homeowners insurance should pay for it. Any ideas on how to proceed? Suing our friends who have no money will only cost me money and result in getting zero from them.
