Ok, I work as a receptionist and I honestly hate this job because it is so boring!!! I just answer the phone which rings like once every 20 minutes....I sometimes type letters etc, but sometimes I have nothing to do, and I do look for things to do like filing, organzing my desk etc but once I'm done with that there is nothing else to do.....the 3 people I work with are nice but they are all in their 50's or 60's and I feel like I have nothing in common with them. And I feel so sad when I go to work, what should I do????? It took me so long to find this job but I'm honestly so unhappy with it.

You shouldn't have a job you don't like. Something will go wrong if you really hate your job, find something you really do like with people your age so you can talk to them about things you do and find something in common, when you work somewhere you like better things will happen! Have fun

You have 2 options. The first is to start looking for a new job. The second (if you haven't done so already) is to talk with you supervisor. Maybe there are additional tasks or services that you could take on. No one wants an unhappy employee.

You can not be productive in a job you are not happy with. You need to seek something that has requirements that fit in your talents and interests.
Maybe you might be an entrepreneur and not happy unless you are working for yourself. Go to http://bizsuccessleader.com and check this out as it was very helpful.
Don't just quit your job until you have something in place of it. Good Luck and have a great day.

Life is all about finding your happiness. If you're not happy, quit the job. It will be better if you apply for another job somewhere else and resign when you got somewhere else to work to.

If you force yourself in this situation, it's exerting twice the energy doing something you don't like, it will tire you and make you more miserable.

I wouldn't just quit, I would start looking for another job, and when I foung one is when i would quit. I do think that you need to get away from a job that you do not enjoy, but i also think that a boring job with income is better than no job at all. Hopes this helps you!
