This guy approached us to see if we wanted to buy this "cancer treatment" policy that the above named insurance company is offering. Just wondering if anyone has heard of such a company and knows anything about them. Thanks.

I started work 6 weeks ago on a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to extending at the end of that 6 months.

I received a letter from employer today saying I have now satisfied all their conditions in my contract of employment and my offer of employment is unconditional.

Does this mean they have changed my contract to permanent?

What if I dont want to become permanent or if I want to renegotiate salary before going permanent?

We had this planned for a couple years and we tried to sell the house two years ago when I was pregnant, took it off to have the baby, tried to sell it again then I got pregnant again, took it off the market and need to try to sell it again. Is there an easier way to sell a house, or rent or something? My husband has a job with the USPS so he will transfer, no worries on the job front. Any advice would be appreciated...

I am in the process of doing the 3 financial statements for a particular problem. I know how to record and do a trial balance. I and trying to do the 1st of the reports(Income Statement) Which I know is revenue minus expenses. I am stuck on whether prepaid insurance and rent are considered "expenses". When doing a T chart they are both on the Assets side. This is where I am confused. If my Income Statement is wrong does that mean that my Statement of owners equity and Balance Sheet are going to be off too? Please someone help I have an exam tomorrow on this. Thank you!

Ok guys I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this.
I’m looking to rent an apartment. The letting agent needs a work reference before she can let it to me. I have been working for the past year and at the moment I’m using the last of my holidays as I’ve just finished up with my job. For the next year I want to dedicate myself to writing a novel. It will be my first and I have planned for this by saving up more than enough to cover the rent for at least the forthcoming year. The problem is, I don’t want to tell the letting agent this as I don’t think she would let the apt. to me if I I’m not currently in (paid) employment. i don’t think I could ask my employer to say I’m still working with them given that I will be finished up with them in a few days.

So should I just forge the work reference? The agent just wants an email from my boss saying that I’m in ‘gainful employment’. Can’t I just write that myself? Here’s the plan: (please go to part 2 of the question)...

I just had a question. About 3 months ago I tried to apply for a loan to get a house. However, my credit score was around 560 at the time, so they were asking for a 10,000 down payment and to hire a company to settle my debts. Since then,I decided to try and raise my credit score alone rather than pay someone to do it for me. I have been paying my bills on time and paying more then the minimum balances. I am also paying off credit cards starting with the lowest amount. At the rate I am going, I should be able to pay off everything by the end of December. Now my question to you is, by doing all of these things, would my credit score go up enough to, hopefully by March, be able to apply for another home loan?

We put a higher bid in on a house than the other offer they had. We were with a different realty company than the seller's. The other offer they already had was with the seller's company. They told us our offer was better, and went with the other offer AFTER the other offer upped their dollar figure to JUST above ours, though we were not allowed to put in another offer to beat theirs. Why wouldn't you want a bidding war to get the most for your house, and is it legal or ethical for that to happen the way it did?
