Im in quite a debt but handling it very well, however im being rejected now when applying for any credit card.

if i apply at a credit union, will they accept me and give me a unsecured credit card (with a good limit, not $500 or less)

Can they also give me a loan? my bank won't give me a loan because i have too many cards with high balances....

also, do i have to pay any membership fees at credit union?

Say, I accepted a job from company A and signed the contract for it, and the job will start in 2 weeks.
But then a day later coincidentally I got a better (closer to my career goals and skills) job offer from company B.
So I tell the guy from company A that I'd like to cancel the job offer and move on (to company B of course).
Is that illegal? Would company A sue me or something?? (the job contract only says that as an employee, I'd be asked to provide a 2 week notice should at any time I wish to terminate.)

This is the next chapter of the devil landlord. July of 2007 my landlord served me with a notice of termination letter. he wanted me out on Aug 31st. He then told me to give him his rent or he will cause hell for me in court. I paid the rent on aug 31st. I read the tenants guide and it said If the landlord accepted rent from me after date listed in the notice of petition My QUESTION IS what date are they talking about is it the july 9th date this is the date the notice of termination was made on and served to me..... or the aug 31st date stating the date I need to be out of my apartment

I am so sick of paying off my back taxes, particularly since I know my money is helping to continue the obscene war in Iraq. [It's also frustrating what their liens are doing to my credit history.]

Is there any way I could write a statement on the back of the check [in small print underneath the endorsement area] that reads something like, "By cashing this check, the IRS and U.S. Treasury agrees that the Payer owes no further money for back taxes on any years"?

My husband and I own a home in Colorado. We are currently renting it out because we could not sell it. The rent we are getting covers roughly 75% of the mortgage. We now live in a different state and are currently renting to own a home. We also have roughly $400 a month in credit card debt.

To make matters more complicated, the home we own has a 5-year ARM set to readjust in May, what should our focus be and what do we have going for us?

I know this was a stupid mistake and morally wrong so here it goes.
I conducted fraudulent refund transactions to myself totaling close to $400 on my cash register. I used the money to pay for rent and my tuition at school.i was desperate for i was afraid i wasn't gonna make it financially. Well over a month later a rep from loss prevention confronted me in my boss's office with evidence and logs of all the transactions. i could not help but admit my guilt..telling him everything from how i did it to what i used the money for. I agreed to pay back all the money i stole.
A few days later i came into my boss's office and he told me that b/c of my cooperation, HEB will not file charges against me, but they have no choice but to term. my employment. He also said HEB can never tell a potential employer why i left, only when i worked there. My quests: 1. Will this be on my record and for how long, 2. How hard is it to get another job after something like this, 3. Words of wisdom i could use?

Recently, I have read several references to "red quarters" used in juke boxes, pinball machines and cigarette machines. I remember getting them in change back in the 70's, but a search of the Internet has been fruitless. Why would they be painted any color, much less red? Thanks for your help.

My mother-in-law co-signed a car loan for my wife when she was in college (before we were married). Now my mother-in-law is filing bankruptcy. Will this affect my wife's credit? Can the lender legally "repo" the car since my wife is the primary borrower? What is the best course for us to take?

I set up an account that has an age limit on it for savings purposes. I set the age that i could have the money to 25, of which i am now 20. I have managed to save almost 30,000 bux, and my mother is the co-signer on the account. But lately, my parents have hidden the account statements from me, and yell at me when i ask for them. They have also been buying items that far exceed their income level. They have bought two older cars, all new furniture and even a new big screen tv. I have talked to the bank but they cannot let me access the account since it is in my mother's name, but transfered to me when i turn 25. Is there anything i can do? Should i turn to the police or seek legal advice? I live in ontario canada, any advice would be great.

Thank you in advance.

I took at 80%/20% loan to get into my first house. 5 year fixed ARM (4.5%) and equity line for the 20% @ 10% (adjustable). I have never missed a payment on either of these loans over the 3+ years. I would like to turn this loan into a loan to eliminate the equity line. Initial loan was 200k, I currently owe 190k on the loan.

Can I do this without putting cash down (20%)? I do not have 20-40k to put on this refinance loan as my wife and I each are full time employees and full-time graduate students. What options are there out there?

Most of us have at least one bad habit when it comes to money and what we do or don't do with it. For me my bad money habit has always been giving in to my impulses and buying things I really don't need. It's such a hard habit to break but after not being able to shop for a while as I had no funds, I think that actually helped me out a bit. Now my focus is more on saving and trying to figure out how to invest my money and make it work for me rather than how fast I can spend it. What's your bad money habit?
