I got $6000.00 back from my 06 return cause a friend let me claim her 2 kids. I think that she told this to the IRS and now they want me to pay all that money back. I split it down the middle with her. She was right there at Jackson Hewitt when i claimed them on my taxes. The preparer asked me my relation to the children and i told her "other" she told me that she was going to put that i was their aunt so i could get more money, I was uneasy about it but i agreed. What can i do now? I don't have $6000.00 to give them by the end of this week

This horrible company called "Capital Management Services, L.P." [http://www.cms-collect.com/] continually calls and tells me that I owe them some debt. It's incorrect and I tell them that.

They are very, very rude. So about 6 months ago I told them to stop calling me. But they keep calling. Different people (all with strong Indian accents, yet amazingly American names like Sally and Bob) call each time. I always say, "I told you to stop calling me..." and they reply with some garbage like "I have never called you before. What is your name? You need to give me your name right now. Give me your name".

Obviously I refuse, and they say more rude comments and hang up. I have no luck when calling them and their phone is routed nowhere. The company appears to be in NY, USA! How is this legal??

My question is, how can I get this to stop permanently? I've seen many other reports too. I want to take action and get this stopped ASAP and hopefully get them in trouble as they deserve.

When we got divored our debts were separate, I kept mine, he kept his. How can Asset Acceptance take an old debt that they bought and claim that they have the right to get money from me although I never promised to pay them anything? I have been off work due to permanent disability for many years. My ex-husband is gainfully employed and so they went into his acount and removed the money without any prior warning. I believe that my name might have been on the bank account although I had no personal access to that account since our divorce. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening to him again?

My husband works at a company called Smurfit-Stone. GP is buying them out but GP only bought the company and not the employees. So at the end of the month all employees will be terminated and they had to reapply for their jobs. If the old employees are not hired back do they have to offer a severance package or anything? He has worked there 8 years and never had any trouble. Don't know what can be done if they don't rehire him?!?! Thanks in advance for any help. ill end up with 24,960 at the end of the year that i got paid. im full time employee but he calls it contract. (i dont know why)

i get no taxes taken out. just a personal check that says his company name in it. (hand written)

every time i ask him if i will be screwed at the end of the year he just says " i'll give you a 1099."

rip off as they ask for a join fee of $34.00.
i checked other web sites that offer the same deal of making $1000.00 or more a month and all want a joining fee.
do you know someone using these sites and are getting paid?

I found out I had been overcharged about 2000.00 in nine months for rent and utilities, and 200.00 for a deposit the homeowner did not require. My name is not on the lease, I was only the "third tenant." Can I do anything to get the money back? These people were supposed to be my best friends.

I had a part-time job in 2006. Earlier in the year, I did not receive a statement from my employer with my earnings total, taxes, etc. I should have been able to collect that which I paid in Fed and State taxes. Is it still possible to file for (and receive) the return now?
