Im in quite a debt but handling it very well, however im being rejected now when applying for any credit card.

if i apply at a credit union, will they accept me and give me a unsecured credit card (with a good limit, not $500 or less)

Can they also give me a loan? my bank won't give me a loan because i have too many cards with high balances....

also, do i have to pay any membership fees at credit union?

It sounds like you are digging a deeper hole for yourself. More credit cards and a loan isn't the way out.

Check this site: http://www.nfcc.org/ . These are legit non-profit credit counseling companies -- no fees. They also have debt management programs, if you qualify, at no fee.

If your credit score is low and you already are loaded with debt, a credit union isn't going to extend more credit to you.

Stop digging your hole deeper. GET OUT OF DEBT!

Credit Unions have better rates then banks, and if you are rebuilding your credit and have 2 years of good history, they are more likely to extend a small amount of credit to you.

BUT if your credit sucks, and you are making no effort to improve it.... they will not approve you.

Your best bet is to get a debit card through your checking account. It will be a visa or MC, and you can use it as such. The only thing is, is that you can only use the amount of money that is in your checking account. Doubtful they will give you a "straight credit card".
