Sounds like Jim up above me is either a wally world employee, or living in a fog.
At the super duper big monster walmart in my town, there are 30+ cash registers and only about 4 with actual humans working them, and the rest are self checks.

I think of how self check outs is walmarts way of getting the customer to work for free, so the company is saving money and probably the execs. in the company can live a little better with fatter pockets.

The only place to go to get everything you want in one fell swoop. A lot of people belittle it, but it's the best place to go for the prices. I shop there alot.

I like
"Want something cheap at a big price? Come to Wal*Mart! The best store in history!"

It's idiotic. The truth is "Save money, exploit an Asian child slave worker, contribute to un-regulated pollution, promote the poisoning of our children and pets."

I guess that one was too long for the bumper sticker.

All the Walmart bashers here make me laugh. Every Walmart I've ever been too in every State has jammed packed parking lots & every cashier working. So, that tells me that despite a slow down somewhat, which is expected over vacation season, an awful lot of people are flocking to these stores.

A lot of the negative publicity they got proved false. A lot of sour grapes, in my opinion, is because they are non union, and the unions don't like it. Makes you wonder???
