In my last job, I had such a terrible boss that I am affected mentally and emotionally. He was an extremely intimidating person who commanded respect. He had a way about him that made people in the depatment look up to him and everyone wanted to please him. If we got kudos from him, it made our day. If we go negative feedback from the boss- we were crestfallen.

Anyway, he decided I was not good enough for his team and fired me. He liked to stare, smirk, yell and scream at me and he liked the fact that he was able to intimidate me. He liked playing the bully. I knew he was a bad man, but something about him made me want to keep trying to please him. Well, I failed and now the fight is out of me. I have struggled going back to work and would rather just watch TV and play with the Internet.

Can you relate?

if so, how did you handle this? it literally just happened to me. it was strange that they already had my address and beginning of my credit card number (it's actually a debit with a credit card company on it...so it's not JUST a credit card)....and they had 3 different people talk to me and recorded me the entire time. i was at work when i answered so i was blind sided by the questions.

turns out they immediately took $75 out of my account because i apparently "okayed" it.
i've already canceled my card.. and i will be canceling my banking account and re-opening a new one today. but now i'm scared of what's next to come - they claim they're mailing me things...i guess i'll have to cancel them or they will keep sending me bills :( helppp!

If you were to get $450,000 from a lawsuit just out of curiosity, how long would it last before it was all gone...my friend just went through this much buying a used car and gambling, food, and going out to eat every night in about 6-7 months.

If I paid off my credit cards, which the total debt is about $5200 plus my $3000 student loan all within 6 months..would that raise my FICO score significantly? I have no late payments or anything in default, so it's not like my credit score is bad..but it's not GREAT either..it's about 686..After that, the only debt I will have left will be my $30,000 student loan.

I am 23 and I have a total of $2,000 in credit card debt and medical bills. I want to pay all of these things off, but at the same time I want it off of my credit report once I pay it. The question I have is, if I place in the memo line of my personal check "upon cashing this check parties agree the balance is paid in full, and collector agrees to take negative information off of my credit report", do you think that the companies will cash the check, and if so, is this considered a "Written" Agreement, and can I use this so that I can get this info off of my credit report. Like I said, I want to pay these items in full, but I also want them off of my credit report. If you dont think this will work, please list a alternative route. Thanks

When a person annual income is 20k or so and he is qualified to buy a $500 home! I don't see that person suffering back then when he made the purchase. Its all about greed and America and its money making machine that went south. I don't feel sorry for any of these people since they know what they were getting into.

I have excellent clerical skills and some retail management mixed in. I have 5 years experience in real estate but am desperately seeking a structured work environment (housing crash is hurting alot of us). I have explored 3rd party relocation companies and do not want to work in the apartment industry. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So for the past 7 months i've been working for Aflac on 100% commission, I love some aspects of the job and others I cant stand. Of course the 100% sucks at times, my trainer has so many personal problems that affect the training, the people really care about themselves and not the company, the market isso saturated. So I got a couple groups one of which a pretty giid size and got me a lot of money. I serviced the account and resolved several issues that my boss got me into. After doing so well with this account they offered me a job. It consists of base salary, plus commission, full benefits, basically everything someone my age (24) can ask for. My problem is that I hate quitting jobs. I feel terrible doing it. I am wondering what advice someone can give me about doing it. Also account I opened, i'm wondering if anyone who worked ith aflac can tell em what to do about it. The account will get a lot of more premium written it every month. Im wondering if I still get a cut of that. Thnx

I recenlty got married and am in the process of changing my name. I bought a house with my fiance prior to getting married. The deed is in my maiden name and his name. The mortgage is in only my name and I just changed it to my new married name. That leaves the deed. Do I need to change the deed to reflect my married name since the mortgage is now in my married name?

My husband & I moved to Virginia less than a year ago to a small apartment. We are looking to buy our first home when our lease was up but were told by some friends that if you relocate to Virginia & find a home to purchase within your first year you can get out of your rental agreement.
Is this true & if so what are the requirements other than purchasing in the first year?

Any help is appreciated.

I just recently registered for some courses at my local college were I am also an alumni with a BS in Education. After registering I realized that this semester I was not in a position to attend school financially. I went to school this morning to resolve my bill and drop my courses. They are telling me that I owe them 25% of the bill which comes out to about six hundred dollars. I explained that I made a mistake in reapplying to the school and registering and spoke to them about my financial need. They do not want to hear it and said they want their money. What should I do next? Write a letter to the President of my school, or pay it and claim it on my taxes as a charitable contribution to my school. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
