a friend and I bought a duplex with the intention of condo converting so that we could invest in our respective units and sell when we want. but we want to sell at the same time and a condo-conversion in our area is not worth the costs, so we have the idea to add a clause to our tic contract that will divide equity and profit from the single sale as if it were two condos. we figure on having each unit appraised as if it were a condo and then splitting profits from the single sale according to a ration based on the "as if" appraisal. Is that as simple as it sounds?

Hello,

I have a car I am considering donating before I move out of California. My dad (who lives in Pennsylvania) bought me the vehicle several years ago, and put me under his insurance, but it was not registered in his name. Since I may not benefit from the tax deduction (I heard it's better for people with mortgages or other expenses), would I be able to donate it and give the proper forms for my father to claim? Would it matter that my dad lives in a different state than me?

Organization but I received it for free, is that still a $15 deduction on my taxes?

Example 2: Lets say I buy something from Wal-Mart and pay $15 because it is on sale but next week the price goes back up to $30 (regular price), could call that a $30 write-off even though I paid $15?

Ofcourse bith examples are assuming I donated the item to a qualifying non profit.

I am working on a website that will educate and teach people how to profit off of penny stocks. The site will include Stratégies, live seminares and online trading advice. I have an S Corporation with one bank account in which I deposited a few thousand dollars. Some of that money has been used as startup costs. A few hundred dollars have been added to the bank account as revenue from Google AdSense ads. Can anyone tell me what lines I need to fill out for the S Corp return? And should the rest all be -0-?

I want to become a Mystery Shopper. I have checked one company and they sound good, BUT the Better Business Bureau says they are NOT good. They are called "Shadowshopper." Of all the stupid mailers, this one worries me the most! Capital One continues to send 'pre-approved' applications to me, but they go to my old address. Junk mail is one thing, but this is a risk to my credit as far as I'm concerned. Were it not for an honest tenant who gives them to me along with other junk mail that still finds it's way to his door - where I used to live over 2 years ago! - it could otherwise be possible for some crook to sign the app off in my name and risk my credit rating being compromised! Nearly every 6 months - like clocwork, that application is delivered. I live in Canada and am unaware of any government campaign available to opt out of this stupid mailer. And I've even returned the app with 'Not Interested' written in boldface over the whole damn application. Capital One is either too stupid or too stubborn to stop the mailer. Any suggestions?

I am an aspiring entrepreneur who needs help. I am a licensed cosmetologist who is passionate about the cometology industry and I want to build my own clientelle, own my own salon, sell some profitable lines of makeup and beauty products, educate, travel abroad to and participate in beauty shows, etc. I want to do it all. My friend is getting some thing notarized what information does he need? as in birth certificate , socail sercurity number ect.
