I have a roommate that is not up to date in her payments, including the mandatory deposit.

The Landlord we are renting from has already given her a 3-day notice to pay or quit and she has exceeded that notice and has still not left. My question is, am I allowed to remove her things from her room, not getting rid of them, but leaving them in the house for her? Allowing her to stay in the house, just not in her room?

She has not been living in the house for even a single night for the entire month, but her ex boyfriend has been living there instead.

The first is coming and I need to get someone in there that will actually pay her rent!

Please help!

A fixed asset has a net book value of 10 but was sold for 22. Thus, its sales proceeds is 22.

Do you add this sales proceeds to the overall cost of the Fixed asset?

I just finished School and I recently had an exceptional job offer for a job that I applied for a long time ago. The problem is, that it is in the wrong state. My family is planning on relocating in two months (I was unaware of this when i applied) and I have been seeking out jobs in my new state for ages with no good responses. I would ideally love to take the job in my current state and have this job turn into a telecommuting position if posible. How can I find out the possibilities for telecommuting prior to accepting the job without raising concerns with my new employer? Can I negotiate this into my job counter offfer? If so, how? Do you reccommend not mentioning the word "telecommute" now and asking for the telecommuting option when the time comes? I look forward to your advice.

I'm trying to buy a house and i want to get a mortgage through a good reputable credit union. However, i'm not a member of any special group. do you know of any good credit union for mortgage that accepts members through donation. In other words, some credit union will accept you as a member once you've joined one of their affiliated groups through donations. for instance, you can make a donation to a library which will qualify you for the library membership which in turns gets you elligible to join the underline credit union. Do you know of any?

I'm looking at investing about 10G, split between a traditional IRA with the larger portion going to US/foreign stocks; probably about a 40/60 split. I'm self employed now, and will open a Roth IRA from my earnings at a later date.

For a long term investment strategy, I seldom hear recommendations for money markets, even though several people have told me that over the "long term" money markets have a return rate of around 12%. I realize this is a very general question, and of coarse it depends on which stocks are purchased, and how the money market fund managers are investing your money

Q: Given that my financial adviser is recommending stocks with growth potential or stocks with a good track record, do stocks historically, post a better return rate than money markets? (Historically defined as the last 10-15 years)

Thanks!

We would like to find another home but are worried our landlord could sue us if she somehow saves the home. I have 2 kids and 2 dogs and it will probably take longer than a month just to find a rental that allows dogs. Also do I continue paying my rent to the owner? We were not listed in the court papers. I would also like to deduct my deposit from my September rent because I do not think I will be getting it back Is this legal????

Do corporate executives have a legal fiduciary duty to protect shareholder value? I know that I read this or similar somewhere but by business professor disagrees.

Please only give an answer if you are completely sure. Also a link to something official that says it is true would also be very helpful.

Thanks.

We accepted the sellers counter offer. But they said someone else was going to come look at it today. So, if these people put a bid for it that is higher than what we accepted, can the seller than forget about us and take the other people's offer? I need peace of mind. I hate this waiting game!! Thanks.

(U.K. only please) I'm buying a house. The seller has had an electrical report done with these conclusion:
1) The main earth connection and the equipotential bonding fitted is too small.
2) No RCD protection is provided on the sockets circuits.
The lady in question has refused to knock the price of these repairs off the price of the house. My question is, is she by law required to fix these problems or are they relatively minor and she is not obliged to get them repaired?
