The account will be in your parent(s) name, but your name will be on your card. My little brother used to love paying for stuff will that card when he was 10

Are you one of the whiz kids that has a business with good income ?

Credit cards are about how much $$$$$ you earn ,
So the credit card companies let you have a % of that on credit .

How much do you earn ? ( should be at least $2000 a month for a credit card )

You can get gift cards that are preloaded with $$$
BUT , They take some of your $$$$ just to load the card , like if someone gives you a $100 , they charge you $10 for the card and just put $90 on it .

You throw away at least $10 with those preloads .

Get a credit/debit card AFTER you get a job and your own checking account. Until then, ask your parents for money the old fashioned way.

The major clearing houses (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover) require that cards issued with their logos be issued only to people who are at least 18 years of age.

That includes debit cards.
