My parents run an animal hospital. They were worried money might be going missing so they counted the money this morning. They shuffled it all up again so it didn't appear like it was counted. Then Heidi, an employee of ours, took out 200 dollars of it to use as a float for the business for the day. Barbie, my mothers sister, was in charge of depositing the 1400 dollars that remained. When my parents got home they checked how much was deposited and saw that only 300 dollars was deposited. They confronted barbie about it, and she acted clueless and surpisingly non concerned. They called the cops and they will soon ask barbie to take a polygraph but it is not manditory. Barbie 2 weeks ago said she was going to cut off all contact with our family, but we didn't fire her because we thought that would make our grandparents upset and mad at my mother. So now barbie has 1100 dollars of our money, and we can't prove it. Any advice? Would calling a private investigator help at all?

My friends and I are planning to get an apartment together next year and split the rent/bills 4 ways. However, only 2 of us will be 18 by that time and the others will be 17.

I'm pretty sure that it'll be fine, because you can always add names onto the lease and such, but should we wait until everyone's 18 to save some paperwork or go for it ASAP?

I guess I'm asking for experience with this subject? We live in Virginia and I just want to know if anyone's ever done something similar or for reasons why they haven't/wouldn't. Thanks to ALL in advance! =)

I work in a deli at an Italian food market. There is a russian lady who works there too there and she is so rude to me. She will purposely watch me do something to point out what I'm doing wrong. I've been there long enough to know what I'm doing now but she still continues to criticize me and talk about me behind my back to other people! And I haven't even done anything to her!! What should I do? I don't wanna quit because of ONE lady but my boss won't listen. He thinks shes a hardworker and doesn't wanna get involved. Please help.

My business recently received it's first complaint in 14 years to the BBB. We were contacted by the BBB and received a copy of the complaint. The person who placed the complaint made us sound very bad. They make it seem like we never tried to fix the problem, which is a flat out lie. When I asked the BBB if I have to respond, they only told me about their $400 membership. I don't want to join but will the complaint be visible and do I or should I respond? will my response be visible...even without a membership? I know I automatically receive a lower grade on their site just for having a complaint but I find it very unfair. This client was unreasonable and is now trying to ruin my reputation.

I know that non-profits are tax exempt - but private parochial schools tax exempt? They are making a profit.

I was told that we could claim the intrest we pay to our mortgage company & that we'd get most or maybe even all of it back on our 2007 return. My husband & I are young & just bought our house last August. We have a very high intrest rate & by the time we pay Decembers mortgage payment we will have paid nearly $9,000 in intrest (is that alot?) I'm not sure what info anyone would need to be able to tell me if we'd get back any of the intrest paid so here's some of the info I know about last years return...

I think we do long form ~ We have 1 child together & he has 3 from another relationship, & I have a son from another relationship as well ~ We make around $40,000 a year.

Can they do it. My gal friend is on SS disabilty and has numerous things going on with her health. They told her they are going to deduct several hundred dollars from her check. Can they do it?
Also since it is personal income tax can't she go bankrupt on it. I know you can't on payroll check tax money but I thought one could on personal taxes. she just had surgery and will never be able to work again. She is 60 years old. Can anyone tell me more so I could guide her. She is beside her self. She lives with her daughter as her medical bills are so high she cannot afford a place and there is a 5 year wait for housing.
She will be in bad shape if they take anything from her check.
Please advise.

Lets say you have a 500,000 house then you take a 2nd mortage and put that into a mutual fund or other investment that creates 10% or better. Every year you would have $50,000.

We need to get 100% financing to buy a new house. We have zero for a down payment & need to finace closing cost as well. Total loan wouldn't be more than 100,000~110,000. We just got this type of loan last year but we need to move & are selling our current house for pay off, just to get the hell out of this neighborhood, so that leaves us with nothing to put down on a new house
